I guess there's no more comms, and apparently you can't actually buy gear anymore? Correct me if i'm wrong, i'm still not sure. I used to WZ all the way to max pretty much, just so I could have enough comms to buy Exhumed when I hit 65, but with the removal of comms, is there really any reason at all to do Warzones before 70 other than to get some XP from the dailys/weeklys and get Valor points? Thanks.

AllisonLightning Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 It's fun? It is. If you like to do endgame PvP, there's no reason to deprive yourself of lowbies or mids and it means if you want to do Ranked, you should be at Valor 25 by the time you hit 70.

Tbe bolster seems to work differently there as well - my conc sentinel was getting 30k crits regularly in mids, occasionally high 40s crits... and then at 70 with the same (208s - 228s) gear his max crit in many/most wzs is in the mid 20s. It's a different game.
Xancath Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Lowbies are a lot of fun to play, mids are as well but only if you're near level 65 I would say (majority of the mid playerbase is at this level in purples, you'll be at a large disadvantage otherwise). I do lament the loss of warzone commendations and being able to build up end game gear while leveling through what you enjoy, but ultimately I'm not seeing anyone frequent <max level wzs any less than before.

Hell, even for a fresh 70 it's daunting once you realize the gears you work for in boxes are ultra rare. Then when you get a nice shiny purple piece of gear, guess what? Oh, it bolsters WORSE than the old 208s you already had! That's right, for 90 command ranks you get to collect gears and crap that actually makes your stats worse in the WZs.
