Tofu_Shark Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) Level 58 Jedi Guardian Server - Jedi Covenant Location - Uphrades Companion - N/A In the conversation at this location, T7 has a blaster rifle shoved up his exhaust port. It's also present where he normally is on the ship. I checked on a planet and he doesn't have this problem. It's specific to the ship. Update This problem is now prevalent everywhere with T7. AlrikFassbauer Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 ( Your screenshots are a bit dark ... ) Oh, that bug again ? Is it back ? I once had something similar with the Trooper's Droid.
tummiswtor Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Nice. I've reported this over 1 month ago, i was mad so i asked about his starter weapon (its small and dont u see in textures)
Tofu_Shark Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) No, you don't see his actual weapon in textures, but I just write it off as droid technology. ( Your screenshots are a bit dark ... ) Oh, that bug again ? Is it back ? I once had something similar with the Trooper's Droid. Yeah, I made a spotlight effect, so all focus would be on the problem. I didn't alter the brightness of the actual screen (the lower layer). This bug has been around before? I did a search and nothing came up about it. Alright, I reuploaded it. I just increased the brightness of the area this time and left the original screen untouched. Link is still in the OP. Edited December 28, 2016 by Tofu_Shark
Tofu_Shark Posted July 13, 2018 Author Posted July 13, 2018 (edited) Sorry about double-post, but this bug is still persistent, and I noticed it during a Knight class mission cutscene when you learn what happened to Leeha Narezz after Chapter 2off-ship. It's really blatantly obvious. The gun is placed where T7 will come to a stop, almost like a mark onstage, except the mark is a giant pole sticking out of the stage instead of a piece of tape. AlrikFassbauer Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 This is still there ? I've never seen that in ages, so to say.
Tofu_Shark Posted July 29, 2018 Author Posted July 29, 2018 Yeah, it's still here. I guess not many people run around with T7?
Tofu_Shark Posted June 16, 2020 Author Posted June 16, 2020 I've just recently noticed that changing T7's weapon affects this bug. I've deduced that this is because T7 was originally only able to equip blaster pistols pre-KotFE. It was when he was set to equip blaster rifles during KotFE that this bug reared its ugly head. How does a rifle even fit in this little droid? Well, it doesn't...literally! Whatever model he's equipped with sticks out of his undercarriage. There's an easy fix for this bug: Give T7 the ability to equip blaster pistols again. He can have this in addition to being able to equip rifles.

Way far back in the day (long before 4.0, and maybe even before 3.0), for unknowable reasons, I changed M1-4X's weapon, and it caused ... effects. Whenever we were out of combat, 4X had a black pole sticking down from his body. I think the default T7 and 4X weapons have minimalist meshes, or maybe they are effectively "Covert Energy Blasters", and you get problems when you fit a weapon with a "real" mesh.
Tofu_Shark Posted June 21, 2020 Author Posted June 21, 2020 That is also a possible cause, but I was thinking a blaster would be small enough to be concealed by his model, as opposed to a blaster rifle, which is obviously too large. They could change it so that any weapon equipped on him uses a lower LOD, so it's easier to conceal. I anticipate this is easier said than coded though.
