Docdim Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 It's possible they have changed it with 5.0, or with the added Cartel Market comps, but when I tested back (yeah, I do that), it was: any non-bugged Force user For some reason, force users get an extra tick on their HOT (4 vs. 3). But Choza Raabat and Veeroa Denz were bugged. Force users but with Tech Power, so their abilities were gimped. I don't know if any/all of the above were fixed.

Especially if you are a new player and talking about leveling content, it doesn't matter at all. Just pick a comp you find fun to have around and forget some 0.0000001% differences in potential HPS, because you will never need it anyway. You can't bring companions into any actually difficult content (hm/nim ops), so don't worry about it too much.

If there is a lot of stuff that has to be avoided, having a melee companion as a healer is better than ranged because the ranged will just stand in place and die to standing in stupid. At least with a melee you can move the mobs/boss around so that the companion is less likely to be in stupid because they will have to follow the mobs/boss to attack it. Other than that, the difference in HPS between companions is negligible Edited December 27, 2016 by psandak

Halinalle Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) Companion that is no longer obtainable. I think Z0-0M has highest total hp healed with channeled heal. All other heals are close to other companions at rank 50. But Z0-0M is by far the most adorable and loudest (sound effects) of them all. I found a video on Youtube not long ago where someone compared Z0-0M to one of the other companions. Can't find it anymore though. Main problem with force user healers is that they can't heal much while they are moving. They have to be in melee range to heal and to do additional damage to enemies. Of course they sometimes stop at range to heal you but then they don't deal any damage to enemies. Edited December 28, 2016 by Halinalle

The ones I use are mostly chosen on looks, or romantic attachments, or because I just like them. I'm not sure who's the quietest. Possibly one of the non-humans, but definitely not Treek. Adric_the_Red Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 (edited) "Quietest" is probably one of the ship droids (C2-N2 or 2V-R8). They pretty much don't ever say anything, though they do make a sort of "grunt" noise when they take damage. I think the CM droids, like Annihilator T4-1D, are equally closed-mouthed.
