Wisemandragonexx
So I'd like to know which subclass is better for PvE solo play. Basically doing solo class, world, and KOTFE?
ExeErdna
Vengence is easier to play yet if you're going through all the content you'll might get a bit bored of it since the rotation is quite simple. Rage is interesting to learn since it's quite powerful once you get use to it, also it gives you a bit more options in how to approach combat. Honestly I rotated between all 3 since Immortal with DPS gear is quite powerful you just need a shield to play around with.
arturoarce
Rage is faster for level up, more range and force skills and you dont need to move or walk to mouch to hit the mobs and is like a "magician warrior" and vengance is more short mele damage is like "full mele warrior"
cool-dude
Just my opinion from my experience. Rage is the stronger spec, but vengeance is more effective for most people because of it's simplicity. if you level with vengeance, and suddenly try to play rage, rage is not going to feel as good as vengeance, because you are going to suck at it. my suggestion is to play rage on a new toon, and level that character using nothing but the rage spec. because then you'll be use to it, and you'll see how it truly is better. No, rage is not stronger. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GtgkOZDgcA3dlBjdoLUzg02zNl9_5fvCU48iY-P0vv0/edit#gid=1633017068
Elyxin
No, rage is not stronger. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GtgkOZDgcA3dlBjdoLUzg02zNl9_5fvCU48iY-P0vv0/edit#gid=1633017068 I would agree with this. Although I haven't played in awhile (recently returning), playing with my Jugg on all 3 specs they don't feel much different then they used to be. Vengeance is still a hard hitter, and probably the better solo spec pending personal preference. Rage spec still is top end heavy, requiring higher levels before the style really plays out. Vengeance was always a very smooth spec even when leveling, and it's damage looks like it's still holding good numbers based on that graph. Rage can be misleading. it's damage nature is burst, which often makes it "feel" like its superior in damage. Big numbers sell easy to those who like seeing them fly up on the screen. I think the take-away from this is either one is fine for solo play, it depends on how you like to play your Jugg: Vengeance: steady damage stream with solid AoE potential, more reliant on burn damage then Rage (though not by much). Rage: burst damage special. big AoE burst numbers, takes some work and buildup to get there though. earlier in the game, this was always the PvP go-to (though the last expansion I played there were many PvP players running vengeance as well for the sustained damage and pressure you could apply). Pick your poison I'm a vengeance guy. Always have been, always will be.
GrandLordMenace
I'd argue Vengeance is easy to learn, hard to master. Rage is just easy to learn. Rage has a set rotation, very little rotational variability. Vengeance can easily be picked up by spamming a few buttons, but actually being able to translate good damage will eclipse the total DPS of basically even the best Rage player, if you have the ability to do so. Sith-Viscera
For those that swear by Vengeance over the other 2. I just do not see it. I play 2 juggs and 1 mara. 1st Jugg is Immortal, 2nd Jugg is Vengeance, & 1 Mara is a Rage. only one gives me damage over and in between 14k to 22k and thats Immortal. Vengeance maybe gets me 11k to about 14 maybe 15k . Mara i havent seen it go past 12k. Then again perhaps 22k isnt that great like i think, but than again i try not to turn my fun time into work time so. Now i admit my Immortal is geared to the max and my other 2 are not half of that. But there was a time they all was equal and immortal still bested the others. So for people to say Vengeance is better than the others, i have to say, it is not.. But i still play it any way because it is fun for PVE, just not PVP. Of course its just my opinion and experiences through playing them but some experiences differ from other peoples. Oh well. Take Care & Be well. & Merry Christmas to all...........

Multiple abilities are wholly internal elemental which means they bypass basically all sorts of armor.
Smuglebunny
Just my .02 cents. Ive been playing a vengeance jugg since they nerfed smash spec long ago. Recently in 5.0 I have tried out a rage jugg and focus guardian and I find it to be superior. I find I do more total damage in warzones and I like the ability to tailor my burst for AOE or single target. Its especially good for PVP imo because sustained is great but when you need to down people you need that burst that prevents a healer from keeping themselves or another up. Also, strangely I have noticed that I am capable of dueling classes in pvp and winning, that I should not be winning against like sins, maras and mercs. Snipers are...problematic... I feel like the charts passed around recently are wrong as parsley does not reflect the chart ranking.
Alec_Fortescue
It's only vengeance that matters, sadly. Rage useless in all aspects unless you want to do things casually and for fun
