Stubeshtainer Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 (edited) So hear me out please... I love Strongholds. In my opinion the player housing is one of the best features in swtor. I really hope there will be more coming because I'm always looking for more ways to customize the playing experience. I know there are many ideas out there already of the strongholds people would like to see. I certainly hope to have strongholds on Manaan and Alderaan one day. The following idea I'm about to share here will be however just my suggestion based on a few points. Like the title suggests I am also going through some stuff from the recent movie "Rogue One" so if you haven't seen it yet, which I warmly recommend you do, here is your *SPOILER WARNING.* So a piece of concept art made by Ralph McQuarrie from the pre-production of the Empire Strikes Back depicted a castle belonging to our favorite lord of the sith, Darth Vader. This idea finally made it to the silver screen when we got a glimpse of it in the movie "Rogue One." It was gorgeous! The surrounding lava plains and the foreboding atmosphere really made me want to see more. My suggestion for a stronghold is a dark castle of sorts. Where can we find a suitable planet? Well we already do have one; Oricon. Since the release of DF and DP I've always wanted a Stronghold like that to one of my dark side characters. It could be a temple, but we already got one in Yavin 4. Hence the idea of a castle in the middle of the lava plains. One with a similar open view where our dark side Jedi or Sith could really contemplate the dark side. I would definitely spend money to unlock such a SH. Sorry about the long post. I know there surely are reasons for why the developers possibly can't or won't do this. I am not here to argue, just to make my suggestion to the box. Do share your thoughts on this matter however. Three of the five available options are way up high with no green space, and a fourth is unrelenting desert. As much as I would enjoy a stronghold on Manaan, Oricon, or Ilum, we really do need a SH with access to space where plants would grow. A castle on Alderaan could be imposing and easy to turn into a dark fortress, with the right architecture. A swamp lair in Hutt space could work, too. A night sky with red moons would really set the mood. Wherever it is, I hope that it has interesting things going on in the distance. That's one of my favorite things about Tatooine.
