Threjyan Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 With the introduction of bosses that have hop that will take like 3 years to kill which is the best to parse thse days? 1.5M or 2.5M ? im using the 2.5 dummy, since its usually the dmg i do on bosses.
LudhaninRolgge Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Most people still do 1.5mil on Parsely so I guess it's still the rule even if, as logic would imply, 2.5mill is more representative of an actual boss fight.
FerkWork Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Depends on Spec and gear level. If your gear level is 236+ use 2.5. At 230 it's still acceptable. Although in my opinion a 2.3mil dummy would be better as 2.5 is a bit too long even for BiS gear.

THAT_EPIC_GUY Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 I've talked with Mari about this back when 5.0 launched and I believe the plan is to make 2.5mil the standard parse now. She can of course say if that is indeed the plan and make the change accordingly.

Most specs are using one adrenal but in less than 230 gear 2.5 is I said for practical sake of repeated parsing a bit to much. Especially with many classes overparsing due to bugs. It's to bad they didn't make a 2mil dummy and a 2.3mil one for DPS.
KurtDunn Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 The larger the sample size the better the data. You can skew the results quite badly with a 1.5. So do you want to improve as a DPS, or do you want to croon over high numbers?
