FragRockKnuckles
Is this normal?
Toraak
depends on what server your on. If you play on Harbringer or The red eclipse, No i've never seen that happen. If your on one of the Dead PvP servers, it may very well be common.
FragRockKnuckles
I see, I never realized dead servers are now part of my subscription. Interesting.

FragRockKnuckles
And the privilege of paying cartel coins should you wish to move off them. It's a feature! True but I don't see why this should be a solution I should be forced to take! This is a bandaid approach and certainly not the way to go about addressing it for new players either. Currently on Prophecy of the Five. Around 8 pm - 11 pm EST From inception should there have been a warning saying "selected server in danger of being dead in future" then I may have rethought my selection. Jherad
I was being snarky. Of course it's ridiculous that they still haven't merged some of these servers.
BlissDivine
The dead servers are actually hurting the game when new players come to this game and no group content pops because of population on those servers. The new players are not even seeing any of the group content. How is that good for the game, BioWare?
FragRockKnuckles
I was being snarky. Of course it's ridiculous that they still haven't merged some of these servers. I understand your point now. The dead servers are actually hurting the game when new players come to this game and no group content pops because of population on those servers. The new players are not even seeing any of the group content. How is that good for the game, BioWare? How much longer do we need to keep bleeding until someone at Bioware addresses this issue? Can't even get a flashpoint to pop either. GTN is even dead. Solo content is one thing but not being able to enjoy any of the other content is a joke. It is disgraceful and so very disappointing. Like many others I have been very excited with the whole development of this MMO and now that it is finally here I just can't believe it that I have to keep pinching myself. Our gaming community has enjoyed playing Star Wars games for over 10 years and many of us were brought together by it and have remained friends ever since. Since news of SWTOR and the beta testing some of our old time members have returned and we are all playing again just like in the old days. Long may this continue and we hope to make many new friends here but this cannot go without saying a big thank you to Bioware, EA and LucasArts of whom this would not have been possible. From all at FraggleRock Gaming Community a big thank you! Saying that, here are some things that I look forward to seeing in future updates: Duel spec Guild bank Playing as a Wookie Gear customization (equivalent to transmogrify in wow) Costs of certain skills and changes reduced I can't believe I posted this in 2011 and feel where we are now. The apple has fallen far from the tree but I just don't think Bioware care anymore. That's the most hurtful part. Liquor
transfers are 90cc now. why not move to a more popular server?
Janglor
At this point, if you enjoy any of the "MMO" facets of ToR, you need to transfer to Garbager. The server population is toxic, but you cant beat the pops.

If you subbed you have the 90cc from your Subscription grant. Or if you have never before just click on one of the many referral links contained in someones forum signature and get a free transfer....
TrixxieTriss
I was being snarky. Of course it's ridiculous that they still haven't merged some of these servers. But, but, but.. what about the "huge" influx of players that Bioware said would be here for the expansion? Wasn't that there reason for not considering server merges. Sunsoar
Yeah looks like Bastion is dead too. Are they considering merging the servers at all? If the game servers are this dead...what is the point of subbing? According to one of the websites I googled, even Harbinger is low pop. Is it worth transfering there? Why won't they just condense the servers more?

Why won't they just condense the servers more? Regarding mergers: they said in the latest live stream, nothing until after the new year (they are praying to whatever gods they believe in that the movie will boost population; IMO they are overestimating the overlap between moviegoers and gamers). regarding why they won't merge servers: Long story short, there are technical issues (transferring of SHs and Guild ships is impossible as of today; are you willing to give up your SH and Guild ship and HAVE to pay for those things again? There is also a potential business ramification, merging servers is an indication that the game is no longer profitable when in fact it is. Harbinger is the most populated server. If you are going to transfer somewhere it is probably your best bet. If you are on a "dead server" Harbinger WILL be a breath of fresh air. Looking at TORSTATUS, The Bastion and other "dead servers" are constantly in the "light" range. The Harbinger gets a daily bump into the "standard" range during peak west coast US time. They could merge all west coast with Harby and have zero server population problem, except buggy hardware. Then they just need to make an east coast one and also a EU one and population issues are solved for 6 months.
