Monolith Theory (KOTFE and KOTET spoilers)

Hey guys. I was just wondering about that ancient monolith inside the gravestone. Here's what we know so far:

The Outlander came upon the monolith when they discovered the gravestone in Chapter 4 of KOTFE. It's showed several other times in KOTFE, including the Senya scene at the end of Chapter 5, and then in Chapter 3 of KOTET, we get Vaylin.

While she's dueling Lana in the Dark sanctuary, she ejects the monolith out of the gravestone, just before the outlander arrives. Then, it doesn't appear anywhere else in KOTET.

So my questions?

1) What exactly is the monolith

2) Where did it go?

3) Will it have a bigger impact in the future?

It certainly is a mystery, and I doubt it was included for no reason. There are still loads of unanswered questions about the Gravestone and the Monolith/Dark Sanctuary is one of the big ones. I'd be surprised if they just left it.

In terms of what it is I don't know, but to me it always looked like it had eggs or something inside.

To me, it looked very similar to the technoliths you find on Iokath.

My best guess is that the monolith in the Dark Sancuary is an older-generation technolith. I mean, the Gravestone was away from Iokath for how long? ARIES undoubtedly upgraded everything on the planet over the course of that few thousand years.

I was just coming here to say that. It looks a lot like the technoliths, just more organic, like it was grown instead of built.

It actually reminded me of the Leviathan from the Metroid Prime series.

Maybe we just unleashed our new enemy for 6.0?

I really liked the Dreadseed zones on Tatooine, Hoth and Alderaan.

It would be great if we got a Phazon style enemy for 6.0.

Yes, Rakghouls are nasty, but there's something about an enemy that takes over all life - flora, bacteria, fungi - that is just so much more creepy than something that just corrupts mammalian lifeforms.
