DarthWoad
5.0 killed alts. Anyone else not touched their alts since 5.0? Only BW austin would kill alts after a six month event encouraging us to create alts...and then delete the achievements we earned while doing it. Anzel
My alts are all dead as well. I could swear that one of them had tears in his eyes when I logged in yesterday and then went right to my main.

Tsillah
Yeah completely stopped logging in at all, with the alt gearing issue being the main reason why Galactic Scammand killed the game for me.

Quraswren
5.0 killed alts. Anyone else not touched their alts since 5.0? There is no point in touching them except to maybe level professions. Other than that, there is no reason to waste time leveling or grinding out a completely difference GC. Doing that would just divide your earned CXP into an even larger grind. Focus on one toon for best results. Forget you have other alts and just consider them companions now. Log to them to run professions and then log back to your main ASAP. Edited December 6, 2016 by Quraswren
gumnutza
I even uninstalled... Waiting for sub to run out. My sub runs out January 3rd, I haven't uninstalled yet, but I was so bored last night, I might not play out the rest of this week.
Lionflash
Naw, they improved and updated all the classes and it's been fun trying out all the new changes and messing around with the new utilities. Personally, I think the changes have been a big improvement along with the game's stability and frame rate.
AshlaBoga
Only BW austin would kill alts after a six month event encouraging us to create alts...and then delete the achievements we earned while doing it. They make leveling our alts to 65 easier than it was to hit 50 at launch. They remove credit cost for training, and give our companions a boost. And then they smash the board into piece by combining PvP and PvE gear into an system that says: Die alts! Die!

Yep, I spent a couple hours right when 5.0 dropped to get all my Alts crafting skills to 600, haven't looked at them since. I did start a new vangard to see if I liked them better since the changes, but only played it for about 3 hours before going back to my Commando
CaptRogue
Played one through story & that's it. Unsubbed today. Story was actually decent till the last 2-3 chapters. *smh* The grind of old content. *shrugs* No want to play anything. Just burnt out. Sad the game has dropped to this. I finally have a ton of alts & no want or reason to play them for anything. So gratz BW for destroying your own game.
Thompsons
Yes, I've played several and will play them all this week, but there are some special circumstances: 1. There's a bug with heroics making them repeatable. It's getting fixed next week, as was posted on the forum, but will not be considered an exploit. Therefore, every single alt I have from lvls 60 to 65 will do the missions for .... wait for it ... 2. ... Double supply crates. 3. Crafting and supply missions. All my main crafting toons got to 600 from grade 10 supplies gathered in crew missions without gathering anything in the field. 4. Now that I've leveled my main and gotten him through the story, I have a 'Pub toon and will now level an Imp toon. I have friends on both sides who need my help to do things like Hard Mode Flash Points for the exotic crafting mats that now flow in those things. Both my best buddy and me got 3 exotic isotopes from one HM FP without having to "greed or need" once. Unfortunately, though, we're both tanks. The process would have gone a lot faster if one of us could have dealt some real damage. Therefore, I will be getting at least these toons to 70: My main ( Pub tank); My main Imp (tank); a Pub DPS and an Imp DPS. After that, I may even level up a healer for each side. 5. Getting the first 10 crates for the first 10 command levels is pretty ridiculously easy. I'll probably do that with an alt once in a while just to get the schematics and stuff. 6. Many heroics are stupid easy for characters with stealth. That was true before this expansion. Now, blackout is on all the time for all practical purposes. A stealth character can kiss a NPC and run fingers through his hair and not be noticed. I have seven lvl 65 characters with stealth. Whenever I need some more companion gifts and such, I can practically get them for free. Edited December 6, 2016 by Thompsons

Personally, I think the changes have been a big improvement along with the game's stability and frame rate. /Agree. Spun up crafting and mats gathering in the first few days and then put a dozen or so characters into fully augmented 228s this last week and I am having a blast running them and coming up to speed on all new class changes and casually running them all up to 70. Many of my guild mates have done the same and we are moving forward with 5.0. No point in running my main on GC until they get it tuned properly. She still gets some Cxp of course, but I'm in absolutely no hurry and not going to grind for it. Gear upgrades beyond 228s-W/augs will come as time goes on. Jeweledleah
other then to run crafting missions and pick up rewards? no. honestly, I'm just about done with my main as well. and when I say done, I don't mean that she is geared. I mean I'm done how did they say it before 5.0? testing for myself just how bad the system is. Edited December 6, 2016 by Jeweledleah
Shepird
I don't have a ton of time so I only got to 11 on my main. Felt like playing my alt and got to 6 with him. Then I got bored unfortunately and cancelled my sub. I have 2 other alts that I didn't touch. Too much busy work vs reward.
RagnarAugustus
5.0 killed alts. Anyone else not touched their alts since 5.0? Nope, and I loved playing my alts since I could raid as much as I wanted without being locked out on my main for my raid group. 5.0 killed my play time on all but my main and I even have trouble wanting to play SWTOR at all with the RNG buffoonery and the CXP grind. I'd actually play again if OPs gear dropped from Ops bosses instead of the useless crap that does now and CXP was legacy bound instead of individual. At this point I wish Bioware's salary was RNG based so they don't know if they're getting paid $800, $400, $200, or a Gift Certificate to Pizza Hut for this pay period. Maybe then they'd see what a bad idea this system was.
Khristiann
I currently using 9 toons. I think CXP is a cruel joke and refuse to play by bio ware's rules. Do I want my end game gear back yes. But really what for? The same old OPs? My friends and I just beat Battle of Rishi HM in are 220/224 Set gear so HM FPs can still be done by good players in old gear. And I personally refuse to grind out CXP on 1 toon. If it came to that I would quit with no new content (Don't hold your breath for anything new in January's announcement) playing 1 toon day after day would become so old so fast it wouldn't be worth it. I've done HM OP & FP as healer and DPS learning to tank now witch is keeping me interested. But don't want to tank all the time. Mad props to all you who can grind with one toon. But I would rather have fun on all my toons then hate the game on one. That being said wish they would make CZP legacy wide and increase the amount you get across the board getting over 600 for a WZ compared to 400 you get form FP KINDA SILLY. AlienEyeTX
5.0 killed alts. Anyone else not touched their alts since 5.0? I tried to start KotET with one of my alts, but just can't get into it. I liked the story, but the gameplay was pretty boring and I think I just need to wait a bit before going again. That, or this game is finally losing its hold on me. Oh, and the fact that I Will NOT take part in their insane grind-fest. Celise
I haven't been online for days. the storyline is fine i will put that out there, nothing wrong with that aspect, but the RNG thing has killed my motivation to play any further. i am not likely to return to the game until the RNG system is charged or removed.
