Wow SWTOR 5.0 .... just wow

I dunno why they would remove some of the good moves in the new expansion but parts of me is thinking that Bioware is starting to hate their players/clients in one way but another part of me thinks they're trying something new.

In my honest opinion, I'll give my pro and cons about the expansion...

Con:

  • For bountyhunter and troopers:

it is really ~horrible~ (since I can't swear) that they removes some of the fun moves such as BH/Troopers' Rocket punch/Rifle Blunt and their Flamethrower/Ion blast. A bounty hunter without a flamethrower? Like cmon the class' logo is an arm with a flamethrower. Playing as a mercenary and comando are my favorite class but this expansion kinda ruin the fun for them since I can go in for a up and personal kill with a melee attack.

  • For Smugglers and Agents :

Removing crouch/take cover for operative and scoundrel... Like seriously? No I mean it seriously? And gunslier/sniper get thier melee and stun attack replaced with just a stun attack (this one has mixed feeling but also putting it in pro too). Lastly, You can't stunned Druid with the slicing. That one extremely useful in ops and Flashpoints.

  • For Consular/inquisitors:

I liked the double strike/trash. D:

  • For Jedi Knight/Sith Warriors:

They get the least impacted changes of them all. Can't stunned droids as a sentinel or Marauder.

Pro:

  • For Bounty hunters/Trooper:

they got rid of the stance selection abilities and make them passive. Some overhauls on the Tech/Vanguard's abilities such as getting rid of stick bombs and explosives rounds/middles with something more cooler.

  • For Smugglers/Agent:

Getting rid of sneak (was somewhat useless at times). Put range on stun moves, but still would like a melee attack.

  • For Consular/Inquisitor :

Getting rid of phase walk.... was cool but useless in fights most of the time.

  • For Knights/Warriors:

Not much changed, but got rid of the stances selections and made them passive for thier roles.

 

So overall this might hurt my chance of renewing my subscription to this game and might even make me quit since I feel like most of the fun is getting out out of the game, but this is my opinion.

I'm in agreement, though I'm pretty sure that the Sage/Sorcerer still has phase walk? It's the assassins/shadows that had that move removed? Someone feel free to correct me. I'm far too lazy to log back in seeing as it bricks my PC on close down.

 

Very correct. Sage/Sorcerer has phase walk.

 

Assassins/ Shadows don't.

No one should be using crouch on the operative. Either youre heals or youre damage and your big damage comes from stealthing and stabbing. You have very few high hitting blaster abilities. You play down and dirty. Stun. Run behind. Stab 3 times in back and repeat. Here's a nice new aoe feature too.
