Wahala Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 (edited) My God how can we craft gear to get these things (drop in HM Flashpoints ... and ops?), To craft purple 230 non modable armour you need 6 refined isotope stabilizers per piece ... at price in GTN right now they are 240,000 - 700,000+ each (1,444,000 - 4,200,000 for the armor Piece). (Down quite a bit from yesterday as none were probably selling for the millions each being asked for the refined version). For a 212 purple relic you need the same number of exotic Isotope stabilizers (going for thr same price about so costing the same). I think implants at 212 need 8 of them. (Of course you can make blue 220 relics with 0 stabilizers) Probanly should not of said that as they will be added now. So to make the gear to (Maybe be successful In Hard mode flashpoints or ops ...If you can find someone to carry you through), you are gonna have to spend somewhere in the neighborhood of 20.2 million to 58.8 million for your 14 pieces of gear (not counting Augments). To get to the point where you can get the isotope stabilizers yourself. Or you can hope for drops for Command Crates for gear which will take a virtual lifetime per character (at the rate I am going) 3 days of playing to command Lvl 3 then a whole day with no command level (The rising amount of cxp curve appears to be about 150% of what you had to get to be on the level you are now on and the amount you can get from heroics was nerfed ... its like taxing the poor. I like to craft my own gear .... so .... put some missions in the crafting stuff to get these things at a reasonable price or make them available to more reachable activities or reduce the amount needed per piece of gear or do something, or I am gonna be stuck with mediocre gear forever. You have turned a pleasurable game into a JOB. I am retired and don't want to work any more. You are killing your ... no MY ... game ... and you know making everything harder and more frustrating does nor keep subscribers. Making a game where one can progress in a reasonable manner and have some fun (Not forced super difficult content) is what keeps subscribers. The people who go for the BIS Gear don't do it so they can do the "Master Content" ... they do it to make it easier.. More could do it if they could get the gear instead of running into walls to get it. Granted the hard core raiders have to run the same walls, but obviously they are either helping their crafters and each other to get there. It is hard (nearly impossible) for us non "excellent players" for a solo player to jump into a random group and progress. Ok I am an old fuddy duddy but have no memory of WoW being this frustratingly convolutedly hard to progress in. Shape up or this Founder will soon ship out. (Paid sub for all 5 years non stop) even during a month or so break to play diablo 3. I f you are trying to build a game for the elite Hard Core Players, just remember that they are the minority .. Like the 1 percenters. Oh and you lied when you looked at me and said "Oh you will be able to get multiple CXP crates per day .. like every hour or two." and "You will be able to craft your own gear from schematic drops". Sure I will. I bet without your cheat keys you would see things differently (If you even play the game). Ok I got that out of my system. Good Luck and please do not ruin my favorite Game ever. Methylium Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 tl;dr, but the tier 2 isotopes drop from every boss in veteran (former tactical) flashpoints, too. also from the lootcrates from pvp daily and weekly and operation bosses.
Kheld Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 I thought it was 2 per piece? Any way they drop in normal FP's as well as from other crates. Ive got lots already.
Wahala Posted December 5, 2016 Author Posted December 5, 2016 I thought it was 2 per piece? Any way they drop in normal FP's as well as from other crates. Ive got lots already. Well That makes me feel a little more hopeful ... and if people start getting lots of them perhaps the price will keep dropping ... although I am finding that they only seem to be required on 216 gear ... the 220 and 228 don't require them ... but they do require some pretty rare sliced tech parts. And to other guy Nope not 2 it is at least 6 for any piece I have a schematic for ... Thanks for relieving my crushed hopes
ConradLionhart Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 The old Exotic Isotope Stabilizers dropped in Star Fortress and the Eternal Championship. There are 87 of them collecting dust in my bank. In fact I think I got my first Refined Isotope Stabilizer from the Eternal Championship. I haven't checked Star Fortress yet but I read disturbing rumours that they removed all loot from it, including decorations. I hope it is an oversight, but yeah you could try Eternal Championship for your source of Isotopes.
