Looking at these forums and having every planet chat turn into a toxic mess of complaints means your system sucks. The general hatred for this game brings back memories of the ugly launch/Ilum/battlemaster days. The fact that there has been no community reach back by Bioware just shows this company is poorly managed. I wish they would dump their entire management staff because it's garbage. Someone has these devs terrified to reach out to unhappy customers...

Nothing constructive will come from any staff member posting here. They would post something like "yes we can plainly see all the hate being posted on the forums and we are addressing it" and you would continue to bash them for not doing what you want in the time frame you want it done.

Like hearing people complain about artifact knowledge and alts; they post a follow up saying they read loud and clear that the players are unhappy and they are working on a change. Fast forward to latest patch notes and boom, a new system of artifact knowledge for alts. Not just some junk solution to make players happy, an actual creative resolution that caters to unhappy players and players who worked hard to grind it out the old fashioned way. Or you could continue to white knight and think they are doing no wrong. This game's forum is nothing but complaints right now and you think maybe on launch of a very anticipated expansion they would be active? Maybe just a little bit?

The fact that some people would lash out anyways isn't a good reason to not stay in touch with your consumer. While I've seen plenty of examples in MMO communities of fans lashing out despite dev involvement with the communities , I've seen just as many where it actually calms some of the people who were angry.

Now here I am less than a week after launch and all my IRL friends quit and my once decent sized guild (I consider a guild of 17 online in swtor to be decent sized) has but 1-2 ppl online at any given time. That does NOT spell a successful expansion... If the devs would at least mention that they ARE in fact READING these complaints then I could feel much better continuing this horrendous meaningless grind knowing that MAYBE the system will get better but you have to be an absolute moron to think that if this continues in its current state for more than a month then it's curtains for this game for sure. If anything this game will be a bunch of low level free to play doing the story buying random **** on the CM to keep this game afloat. Dedicated long time players will be stuck sitting in queues because there isn't anyone with a sub doing whatever end game content there is.

One would think the RELEASE OF AN EXPANSION would warrant some time of *********** response... They spent millions for a trailer alone, I am sure there was some very heavy financial investment in this.

Because otherwise they'd be right in there talking to everyone and trying to settle the tumult? Hahahaha! How long have you been on the forums? Maybe some out of touch lying dev will write (have corporate draft) another heartfelt letter to the players explaining how amazing the game is and how great things are coming Soon. I'd get fired for pushing the string of abject failure this team has farted out over the past year. That is if I didn't resign first in shame. Especially after spinning fairy tales to my customers about what their money was going towards. These guys get promoted and take off a couple months because it's so hard doing nothing year round but reinventing the wheel constantly. Can't wait for the next live stream where everyone is just so pleased with the direction of the game and patting each other on the back for a job well done after they console command themselves legendary gear and a hundred command ranks so they don't instantly crash and burn on the first trash pull like the newbs they are in the game they clearly never play. If they're simply not interested in changing the system, I expect them to at least be honest with their player base and say as much. A lot of people have already cancelled their subscriptions, and if fleet/planet chat is a good indicator a lot more are waiting anxiously to see if anything is announced before cancelling theirs if nothing changes. If they're going to change the system, great, tell us and stop the bleeding of subs before it gets out of hand. If not, tell people so they can move on.

But, you do realize that if the Devs changed the game to appease every special snowflake that doesnt like this, or doesnt like that, this game would be changing on a daily basis right?
