Pazuzuh Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Did you see ppl are not satisfied with the new gearing system, and after that you still decide to NERF? Nerf the cxp farming?? If someone is farming xcp killing mobs for hours (HOURS!) , let him. Not everybody wants to kill same mobs for 50 hours!!!!!!!!!! 12 crates later and I still have any purple piece. Not a single one. And you still nerf. JOKE :mad:
Nomaad Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 These guys just love digging that hole as deep as they can't don't they? what is wrong with these guys?
cardmonkey Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 They just love fan tears and they are honestly on enough stims to kill brain cells
Theeko Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 They just love fan tears and they are honestly on enough stims to kill brain cells Your sig kind of reminds me of the "Promotions" as well
JamieKirby Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Well, heroics are pointless, it takes too long to do the heroics for the pitiful 20 CXP it gives, the other crap, i tend to get put into a group with a 'rush in guns blazing' mentality, which leads to wipes, if anything, the CXP per gold elite kill needs to be increased, because doing anything solo *which is more reliable than a random group that tends to suck **** gives a severely pitiful amount of CXP. They make the game pretty much solo'able and encourage it, even force it for story purposes and then they punish players by giving 20CXP for doing something that takes too much long for 20CXP....its like a slap in the face, i am guessing Bioware doesn't read JACK on the forums and likely never will, Companies are like that when they get as big as Bioware has.
cardmonkey Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Your sig kind of reminds me of the "Promotions" as well If the shoe fits right plus I like sarcasm
Medakon Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 should be even more than 10 exp per gold champ. Really wanna make me quit swtor again cuz it would take a year to reach cap with 1 character only, and that is insane.
cardmonkey Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 They really want the worst company award again...
damonskye Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Seriously, I can't fathom what it is these people are thinking at Bioware. Do they really feel that the only thing we want to do when we log into the game is grind for things... for gear (which is pointless since it's just a means to an end for more grinding), for alliance levels (other than four mounts there's no reason to get to alliance level 20), for trinkets (gear that nobody is going to wear anyway)? I don't even understand why you'd want to grind to GC level 300 now. To get better gear for what, exactly? What a shame.
cardmonkey Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Exactly it's half work for a bunch of money

Well, there is a weekly planetary mission award for like 450cxp if you do all heroics or all dailies on one planet. It was a bit buggy the first few days. I think its working now. As to the op post, yes keep the 10 cxp for elite kills. If people want to farm elites, what is wrong with that? Its choosing how you want to play the game. Most won't do that. But, it was nice to have. If short 50-60 points unitl next rank, well go kill five elites and finish it off.

And you still nerf. JOKE :mad: Don't feel bad, in the next patch they will multiply the CxP level requirement by ten.... so instead of 4990 at high levels, you'll need 49,900 per level. Guess BW figures they are not losing subs fast enough.... they need to speed it up somehow.
SithEmpress Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 (edited) Really, this is just stupid. Who cares if someone farming golds, it still going to take forever to get one character to max level. Let alone the alts that the DVL event called for us to do and we still face the evil RNG just to get the armor. So, it not like it's going to kill the game if people get gear out, oh wait it actual might cause some people to keep playing if they could gear out in a reasonable timeframe. I don't think they known the word reasonable. I agree with the other, this system will do far more harm than good. I think this is going to cost them more players as I don't think many will sub up for a stupid grind and little new content. No I’m not going to quite as I will just keep doing story and other activities that I can easily do in basic gear, but I can sympathies with those who are upset. This is just a terrible system for everyone. They should be asking why do players feel the need to grind gold mob for countless hours (no one think it fun) and instead make a system that fun. Same goes for companion gifts, these grinds are just getting old. Command Rank should have been a perk that gave extra goodies to sub for you know playing or even help speed up gearing so they could have fun. The Seer make a great example about this. I think even those not subbing should have been allowed to gain command rank particularly with it being tie to gear, just at a slower rate. For those that enjoy the system I'm happy for you. It like the companion thing, there been a lot of people asking to customize new companions; at least their clothes forever. We final get one and that a bug, let us fix the thing you’ve been asking for. They really do like fixing things no one want them to fix. I’m with others make this legacy bound. PS: People really will have an excuse in flashpoint, pvp, or other group content when they come up short on the gear now. As many people won't be able to complete this in a reasonable time frame on one character let alone there alts, and they can just say I got no RNG luck "sorry." Edited December 3, 2016 by SithEmpress
TheSeer Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 As I said in the other thread, yes this is a bad idea to already bad idea. And, I don't understand why they care as they have a weekly cap already in the game. So, it not like someone going to magical reach level 300 over night.
Fardarter Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 some dude hit the cap and got to level 100 in 3 days and single handedly ruined it for everyone lol.
jackofrost Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Nerfing the XP because of someone who played 15 hours per day for multiple days grinding them only PUNISHES the 99% of us who don't play that much and/or find grinding mobs fun/worthwile. Thanks Bioware, you may have finally gotten me to stop paying you.

One thing I think the studio did wrong here is to not have throttles on each type of content that rewards GCxp. They went with a global throttle instead, and of course some player capped it by the end of early access... probably to prove a point more then anything else. While individual throttles (caps) by content segment would upset some who want to heavy-grind only one type of content, it would have the benefit of encouraging players to spread their game play around as part of leveling GC, OR... ease off the pedal a bit in their haste to chase gear. In other words.. they should have a weekly cap for each main segment of game play that rewards GCxp (heroics, elites, WZs, OPs, etc). Of course they need to set a reasonable ceiling as well so that a casual player playing an hour or two a day does not hit any segment cap on average. Edited December 3, 2016 by Andryah
HelinCarnate Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Do we really need another thread on this? The one with thousands of views and hundreds of replys made 4 hours before you started this thread was not enough? While I totally agree with the spirit, there is no need to have yet another thread about the same thing
AlaecusMcFly Posted December 3, 2016 Posted December 3, 2016 Blame the DF farmers. Nope. DF Farmers are just playing the system that is given to them, as efficiently as allowed. BW is still to blame for releasing this sh*t system, yet again encouraging solo grinding over group content.

But DF Farmers are farming Leveling XP, there's no CXP involved in that as far as I know - even if they're level 70 boss adds don't give CXP.

I don't even understand why you'd want to grind to GC level 300 now. To get better gear for what, exactly? What a shame. LOL, you are right! It's not like Operations drop loot anymore, so no one cares about Operations now. Being uber geared may only be good for PVP. This gold star mob nerf is silly. I already lost a lot friends in this game cause the company is just being a jerk. The best way to gear right now is crafting, just invest time into those. 228 purples are pretty good. That way I can walk on fleet and everyone can see my purpleness, oh wait, no they cannot. LOL. NOONE cares anymore Bioware, being geared does NOTHING for the PvE'r. Good thing I still like PvP, or I'd have quit the game too.
