Chapter 16 - Arcann Fight not Progressing

Attempting to complete, but Arcann fight is now bugged and cannot progress. Have done it before with no problems, but seem to be at a complete stand-off. I am silenced and cannot move forward, but he can't kill me either. Have had to stuck it five times with no hope of ending it in sight.

I am having a similar problem. The fight goes fine until he goes to the platform and silences me. After the silence, I can't move at all and he kills me.

Same here. Everything works fine up until the point he jumps to the platform. I hope this is fixed before the second. Im a returning player and have no characters that have finished this. I don't want to skip it just to play the new chapters.

I have the same problem to. For a second i tthought that only i have thi problem. That is very annoying becacause i cant finish my story :/

Glad it's not just me. I'm trying to get one of my neglected toons through this chapter now and can't progress in this fight anymore.

I'm trying to defeat Arcann and having the same issue

 

Power Overwhelming and another buff as soon as I use the shield keep me from moving. I can stay alive for a very long time but nothing changes and I cannot get any closer to him. and eventually do die.

I have the same problem. Looking in the bug notes now.

 

When I reach the end of the fight, when he jumps on the platform, after his big area attack I am bugged, cant move. He uses his attack until I die.

 

Quite annoying, especially having to pay the repair bill.

Same here. No chance approaching him once he's down at a few percent hp and standing on the platform. Tried a few times, but don't want to ruin my gear.

On the one hand it sucks that this bug exists, on the other hand I'm glad it's not just me having this exact same problem.

 

The debuffs that are on me are: power overwhelming, overwhelming power and slowed.

Yeah i have the same problem. Fight goes well until he is almost down and he jumps onto the platform. i can't move at all and even with the shield up he kills me with his lighting ability. Also my ability i get with the lightsaber don't show up all the time as they should, after i die and restart the fight. Edited November 29, 2016 by Simdarion

No matter how I play it I end up having to go to Arcann at the center of the room and use bash on him (no other way to damage him at that point). After the bash he roots me, then he knocks me back and permanently roots me. I can't move and can't damage him. He can't kill me. I end up having to do /stuck.

Im in the same boat. Get to the last phase of the fight, get the silence, and Im stuck frozen in place with 2 overwhelming power buffs. I can raise the shield, but eventually it overpowers me, and I die. Id really appreciate any thoughts on this. Its my first toon to this point, and Id really like to get to the end.

 

EDIT : I did manage to beat Arcann with the glitch. Its not quick, but it worked. The trick is when he goes into his bubble, dont bash him. Instead, use the attuned saber trait that reflects damage, then reequip the shield. Once he gets down to about 15-20k health, the battle will end.

This works. It takes a little while (about 10 minutes) but that's better than not being able to beat it. Basically I waited till he uses force meditation and stops shooting at you then I quickly drop the shield and pop the healing buff and the last one then put the shield back up. Then around 7% health I walked up and slapped him and the fight ended.

Fix for Consular - Sage:

 

Use Phase Walk and set up a point right at the top edge of the stairs (right on top of where Arcann will move once you're locked down)

 

After the bash, use Phase Walk (and make sure you have him properly selected as target - it seems you lose target after the whole root/stunning ordeal) You'll be right on top of him and able to bash right away without need for movement.
