DarthXeroTheEvil Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 What should I be augmenting my 208 gear? So far I'm all Power Augs. I hear in PvE though power augs are worthless so I was thinking is it the same for PvP?
MasterFeign Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Myself, I go full power augs, and destroy things in pvp.
DarthXeroTheEvil Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 So sounds maybe in PvP all power is the way to go?
LudhaninRolgge Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I went crit all the things till 40% crit chance then power. I have 9 crit augs and 5 power augs. But I'm wondering, how much surge do you have with full power augs ?
MasterFeign Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 (edited) I have something like 38.5% crit/68.5% crit multiplier. I don't really notice a difference. That's also because where my shocks and discharges might not have crazy high crits, my saber attacks will have high hits due to power. When stars align I can get 26k mauls. Maybe the only thing is that, my gearing choice may succeed less against a tank. But if a regular player doesn't have their DCDs, I can usually blow them up in 4-5 moves. I think my discharges do aroung 14-17k. Can't remember about my shocks though. Mauls vary, depending on the target, as do assassinates. I have 3391 power anyway. DarthXeroTheEvil Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 How do you have that high power with that high crit? Seems off.
Snotrq Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 How do you have that high power with that high crit? Seems off. 0 accuracy 0 alacrity 1370-ish crit rest power, I guess. Very good setup for deception pvp (if not the best)
DarthXeroTheEvil Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 Hmm so how many Crit Augs and how many power Augs?
Snotrq Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Crit enhancements, power mods & augments. For more precisions you better check this complete guide by Kre'a, it is very good and cover it all. He ran full power augs, but others run a mix of crit/power and do fine, so it's also a matter of personal preferences as long as you prefer those two stats.
DarthXeroTheEvil Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 Thank you for that. I've heard of this Krea.
MasterFeign Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 0 accuracy 0 alacrity 1370-ish crit rest power, I guess. Very good setup for deception pvp (if not the best) Yep, pretty much this. The only enhancement with the highest power, is also the one with the highest crit. It works out the same with the implants and ear piece. The only nuisance with this set up, is as I mentioned before, fighting tanks. If I have all my CDs, I can also outplay a PT, usually coming withint 25% health or less.
Snotrq Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) I also run this exact setup (after trying running full crit augs) and I just love it. Imo it makes optimal use of Recklessness & fits the deception gameplay the best: all about burst /e: yeah tanks are our worst nightmare, second worst being talented sorcerers moving everywhere About PT, got similar results, I think it's just a match-up thing, if well timed (& talented) our Force Shroud (x2) ruin their burst. Personally, I use Overkill augments when I play Deception, but the difference between Overkill and Critical as far as DPS goes over an entire warzone is negligible. To be completely honest, you won't notice the difference on a tangible level.
DarthXeroTheEvil Posted December 2, 2015 Author Posted December 2, 2015 I'd like to thank everybody who has come in here and given advice and opinions. I really appreciate big help thanks all.
MasterFeign Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I don't have too much trouble with sorcs, but if they get a head start in running, rooting etc. then it becomes a bit more tough. Juggs > PTs > sorcs > operatives > snipers > maras > mercs > sins is the order I'd say from hardest to least hardest to kill.
