Threezer Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Since they do basically the same damage and cost the same amount of force is there a reason to use Thrash over Lacerate? Or even have it on my bar?
johnbgood Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Trash hits the target twice, Lacerate hits once per target. If you hit 2 or more targets with Lacerate, most of the time it's a DPS gain over Trash. But depending on your discipline, Trash will proc stuff that Lacerate won't proc.
Threezer Posted November 30, 2015 Author Posted November 30, 2015 Thank you. I knew I had to be missing something.
Kingsbount Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Since they do basically the same damage and cost the same amount of force is there a reason to use Thrash over Lacerate? Or even have it on my bar? Lacerate is the Hatred's "bread and butter". It's a DoT spread.

sithBracer Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Like? Not really a proc, but an ability called "claws of decay" which increases the crit damage of thrash. So if you have 40% crit or more you will most likely crit one of the 2 thrash hits and get an increase in surge due to it.

Ld-Siris Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 And unless they changed it, thrash is still the only skill to proc your auto crit from your set bonus.
