yes sorc healers are overperforming, so? haven't you played any other MMO? wasn't there a couple of overperforming classes and a couple of underperfoming ones?

 

same here, the only alternative is to make all classes different skins of the same mechanics, wow tried it it sucked

 

so that's all, if sorc healing and pt burst get a SLIGHT nerf everything will be cool

I think what's so frustrating is how obvious and ridiculous some of the "overperforming" is. It gets old really fast and when no kind of change appears in the makings, well... People get pissed.

When to expect this swift nerf? Spring 2016? Summer2016?

Doing 4.5 mil damage and having 0 kills with everyone having only 70k HP - this sums up all swtor PvP mechanics :)

 

5 healers doing above 4-5m while dps only have 2 dps that came close to 4m. this had to be a really long game, so those dps having 1-2m and still almost no objectives is what's really damaging.

BW 'balancing' regime has always been cyclical. A rotation of FOTMs and Nerfhammers. While some classes have had more generous applications and onerous applications of this over time, the base principle remains the same. I have been playing since beta and witnessed it all over 4 years.

 

What I think might be changing is the communities patience with this cycle. There of course have always been nerd tears when nerfhammers were applied but I honestly think that the devs just have assumed that people will roll another alt and be happy with buffs to other classes.

 

This has largely remained true in the past, but to my mind these latest 'balancing' attempts are so far out of whack, that the backlash seems more pronounced than I have seen in the past. Even PT and Sorc players seem to acknowledge that AP/Corruption are OP.

Seeing as 1 sorc appears to be DPS - with 4M damage.

Must've been a long game. possibly too long - But possibly better than3v4 in arena -only to have the last player alive on 1 team stealth out until acid - or winning /losing 6-0 in Huttball.

 

IMHO: long, complex, to-and-fro game > easy win or crushing defeat.

OVERPOWERED and OVERPERFOMING IS not the same thing.

 

Suppose the Marauder class was the absolute best damagedealer in the game...........my miles.

Now IF EVERYONE on the oppsing team "hunted" the Marauder...it would rate as underperforming.........it woul maybe be on the loosing side all the time and again appear underperforming.

 

Then it could be the worst class ever made, hardly cpable of suicide by jumping of hights or even moving.......BUT is on a faction /team tat wins most of the time, the class rating ( win Count etc) Will og up.

These are artifical numbers.

 

Match up sentinels and marauders then compare the two classes ONLY then you can see which of those are overpowered.

 

A main Battle tank is ALLWAYS supperior in damage to an Infantry Fighting Wehicle.......they are MENT TO fill different roles and thus NEVER be Equals......HOWEVER Most IFV's have anti tank weaponry and under the RIGHT CONDITIONS can easily anihilate a Tank unit.....

 

Apply this to classes, pvp and pve and then LOOK at what needs to be nerfed...and wow it comes out to almost nothing at all ever needed Nerfing

Well a 0 - 0 VS is what, 15 min with the pre countdowns?

The tank did more damage that than two of the dps....

 

low-dps assassins = the other door guard job.

 

All the deaths were mostly because of occasional attack on the off-door defender.

One team just didnt split all the time. And the other team tried to plant a bomb on the door., splitting the forces.

You make it sound like over performing is like someone beating you by a second in a race. Sorc are gods...not comparable to the peon classes.

But medals and objective points tells us that most of it was done in the wrong place!!!!

 

That's what's really upsetting . .. ... ....:eek:
