Exiled-Phoenix Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 'Ello I have been running some pvp games on my 55 sorc this weekend and i noticed that my trouble point is melee burst classes like assassins and marauders. They seem to take a good chunk of my hp before i can even react and i cant seem to recover fast enough. My main is an assassin aswell, so i know how they do it. (i pick off sorcs like this aswell) I just dont know how to counter it on a madness sorc (or sorc in general) i'm not the best at kitting either, since i usually play a melee class. Any tips or advice are welcome
JourrnoRush Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 First, I would say get to lvl 65 since you get more utilities, then completely rule them out. Sadly, the fact is that an awesome sin/shadow is going to spank a mediocre/pretty good sorc. Its just how it is. However, considering this isn't a 1v1 game and playing with teammates is essential I recommend the following. 1)Phase walk to a higher elevation. If its get too tough you can phasewalk as well. 2)Double strike if you can't get away. Might as well do some damage while they have shroud up, plus it keeps them in combat still. 3) Blockout skill and less damage while stunned skill. I spend most of my ranked games stunned to hell, I picked these two skills up and the damage is way less. There is nothing you can do against 4 players pounding on you, but with these skills you should be able to solo some shadows easily and last long enough for help. 4) Learn to turn just enough to hit them with the stun Dot (sever force?) and the force slow. Learn to time these so you can run away and keep applying your Hot and keeping damage on them. A good quick force push then running forward works good. 5) LoS LoS LoS 6) Save alacrity boost until they waste their stuns/shroud. 7) Don't be afraid to try to get them to waste their interrupt, so do a fake cast of force lift or benevolence. You have no idea how many people waste interrupts on silly things. Thats all I can think of atm lol
