Crafting is a dead-end end-game for casual players

I am a casual player, and I like to craft. I have 40+ toons across 5+ servers. I have 500/500 crafters everywhere.

Level 1 to 56 stuff, I can craft. No problem.

Then I get recipies for 64/65 things, and suddenly, now, I must complete hardmode flashpoints?

It takes 6 runs through a hardmode flashpoint, 1 drop per run, to get the items necessary to make one piece of gear.

Why? Not enough people are doing the HM FPs to put the ingredients on the GTN at reasonable prices -- that is, if you can find the ingredients on the GTN -- and I'm not going to sit there and grind out millions of credits just to buy them.

So it's either farm for credits to buy the ingredients, or go through hardmode flashpoints. I hate PVP and I hate flashpoints, never would do OPS unless my entire gaming career in SWTOR depended on it, and even then I'd have to consider whether it's worth it.

In the time it takes to make one piece of gear, I could have ground out the crystals in heroics.

Why should end-game crafting be this ridiculous? 1-56 a breeze. Then it just....stops. It's like your entire crafting career is out the window end-game.

Exotic isotope stabilizer is also available for 25 glowing crystals each. Daily area weekly missions grant those, so do heroic 2 missions that you get from the terminal. I am not saying it is easy to get the EISs you need to craft but there are alternatives to HMFPs

GTN is your friend, they are selling for 25-40K each on my server and while buying 10 of them is a bit expensive it is less than 1/4 of the total cost of the mats if you were to buy everything.
