Kogull_x Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I was walking in outlaw's den on Tattooine (level cap is 30) and was attacked by a juggernaut who killed me with two skills. "Force leap" and "Furious strike". I have 8.8K HP. Isn't level downsizing applied to open world pvp damage?? http://imgur.com/NaIz2f5
MasterFeign Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 My guess is that he had 2018 expertise, and you had none. Expertise still counts towards OWpvp. I really think the den should be the exception of the planetary bolster though...
Kogull_x Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 Even with expertise it's still too much damage. 2018 expertise gives a 60% boost. Not 36543653426453287%
MasterFeign Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Don't forget that's without crit multiplier added as well, so they might even be doing around 120% more damage too. But all's fair in Outlaw's Den (even if it has the same rules on all servers).
Kogull_x Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 yeah, i know, i dont complain, it just seemed too weird...
NikSunrider Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Dunno, 4k damage seems pretty scaled to me, it wasn't 30k. Furious Strike is a very critty ability, especially with the overflow crit on autocrits, it can go up as high as MM snipers in 65. So that seems quire reasonable to me. And the point about expertise still stands.
HaoZhao Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Level sync downgrades mastery, power, and endurance. It doesn't downgrade expertise and it doesn't protect you from any autocrits that would be coming from skill trees or set bonuses.
