It's lovely to be chatting to my old friends again, including the various Love Interests I cruelly abandoned, however, I have no idea what stage of relationship we are at. I have a feeling, that in my excitement, I smothered a couple of them with gifts and maxed-out the romance very early on, but I can't get them to talk to me, or whisper sweet-nothings, let alone get a snog!! (That'll teach me to be creepy then callous, eh?) Is there a way of finding out where in their story I am? Also, with some companions, I'm not getting many quest responses from them, even though I'm levelling up their influence. Are things a bit buggy with classic companions, at the moment? Bit sad *sniffles* Quinn is all quivery with excitement when I give him a nice gift, but never says anything to me, and Vector...well...who knows what's going on with Vector these days (Imp Agent ladies will understand.) Thanks!

They have changed the companion stories now so it is affected by progress in your classtory instead of the level of affection (now called influence). If you return to the ship you should have a few of them wanting to speak to you, that depends ofcourse how far you are in your story. Perhaps you can try to see if anyone of them want to talk to you if you continue with your class quests and then perhaps you can remember what happened.
