Minty_Freshness Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) devs. do you remember what the word fun means? disregard all the fluff and hostility and insults from trolls that are enjoying all the anger since the patch. its a simple question "do you remember what the word fun means?" if yes, you know what to do. so do it. show us you still know what fun means, and that you understand we WERE having it before Tuesday, and that you understand were NOT having it now. Artaniz Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Id like to see them roll the nerf back to 4.0.1 , then apply a 15 % nerf and let us test it for a week. Then if its still to strong another 15 % and test for a week. None of this one week its massively strong the next week its beyond worthless crap that they are pulling right now.
UltimateKrucible Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Fun isn't watching a game play itself ......
ShieldProtection Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I agree. However there's so many *** licker fanboys defending their beloved nerf. I'm not going to play SWTOR unless nerf removed, besides even If I want to play I can't because *********** SWTOR launcher needs me to re-download ENTIRE game for some reason. This happened yesterday when web site got down and I dont have a week to download 35GB data.
SPAMBAM Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Fun isn't watching a game play itself ...... Did you disable you comp or disable some abilities...? No...? Why? You shouldn't HAVE to?! But why...? You said it wasn't fun! How can we take you seriously??
SPAMBAM Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Before the nerf you could set your comps on mobs and just polish your nails while they took care of business. That's not gameplay. I hate to say it, but if you're having problems not having your hand held, you really need to L2play ANSWER THE QUESTION! Why - WHY - did you NOT disable comp's or disable some abilities they have?! Answer... go on! Why would you play with them is it was SO bad for you?! To enable you to cry about it?! Answer the question or troll on...
Rolzhard Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I'm with OP on this. It was fun having companions that were good for more than sending on missions and crafting. Giving them meaningful abilities gave them a presence and meaning and made them fun. Also it was a lot of fun surviving being ganked because Lana was hey! doing some meaningful healing as opposed to being useless. It didn't stop you from being killed. It just meant gankers had to focus your companion first:) Nice change of tactics^^ So you got to hang around more and actually participate in the unfolding world pvp instead of being insta- gibbed. And not because I dislike PVP or being ganked. I like both. I just have no PVP gear on my Vanguard. But I thought it was pretty cool that despite having no PVP gear because of my companions I had a fighting chance^^ I had Lana at 34 and I was looking forward to taking her to 50. Now? ***? Give me a reason to do all those heroics and Star Fortress weeklies etc? Oh, there is none. Too bad. Guess I'll play Tera and check out Blade and Soul between progression raids.

hooty Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I'm having way more fun now (4.0.2). For me facerolling everything in sight is not fun. Maybe companion performance isn't perfect right now, but it's certainly more reasonable than before the patch when content was completely trivialized.

JattaGin Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Before the nerf you could set your comps on mobs and just polish your nails while they took care of business. That's not gameplay. I hate to say it, but if you're having problems not having your hand held, you really need to L2play Your post makes absolutely no sense at all! Yes, you COULD set your comps on mobs and just watch them. And yes, not everyone has fun watching that. But as you wrote yourself, you COULD do that. You didn't HAVE to. So, as someone already asked you: If you disliked that AND you had the option to NOT do that, then why did you do it anyway? I sometimes set my companions on passive when I thought it gets too boring. Yes, I did. I had the perfect choice whether I wanted things easy or challenging. Did you make use of this choice?
Vember Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) Fun isn't watching a game play itself ...... Then don't...? If you let the game play itself that's your own damn fault, so why are you crying about it? You could let the game play itself when your comps were in augmented 192's, were you crying then? You could let the game play itself anytime you were 5 levels over the content, were you crying then? Edited November 19, 2015 by Vember
TheSeventhJedi Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Soloing the SFs was already a pain - not because it was hard, but because it took so dang long. The enemies were just sponges of HP. I'm sure I probably could survive it, but I can't imagine how long it would take now. So, I'm done with them. So, either that matters to BW or it doesn't.

Tuskenkiller Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Fun isn't watching a game play itself ...... Quoted for mother***** truth!!
Daos Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I'm really confused. Are people complaining that they have to put some effort into a video game? That they actually want to be able to just run into a bunch of enemies and not even have to press a single key? What other games out there let you do that? I got Fallout 4 recently but, no, Dogmeat does not do all the fighting for me. Metal Gear Solid V? Quiet can't take out an entire outpost for me. Even going back as far as KOTOR on the easiest difficulty you still could not just rely on your companions...
