archlkt Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 For the mission "To Find A Findsman", I just can't start this mission. After I select this mission in "Companions & Contacts" menu and click "Travel to alert location", nothing is shown under the mission title in my mission tracker. (means the mission is not updated) Resetting the mission is not working. Would you please to tell me how to solve this problem? 1. See the empty mission tracker. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1Dvktu398aeRXNBWVBfX0lqVTQ/view?usp=sharing 2. The task "Board your personal starship" is not activated. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1Dvktu398aeRXNBWVBfX0lqVTQ/view?usp=sharing
Casket Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I'm having the same issue. I've tried re-logging, resetting the mission, abandoning it then picking it up again, et al., but nothing has worked. it simply will not update the mission objective.
DaOgre Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Got exactly the same problem, submitted a ticket.
DaOgre Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Got a response. None of this has fixed the problem for me, but putting it here in case it helps others. *** I am Protocol Droid M0-T0, Human-Cyborg Relations. Thank you for contacting us regarding the issue you encountered with your mission. We are sorry that you have encountered an issue with your mission, however please be advised that we currently only offer support for class story missions. We would kindly ask you to try the steps outlined below to resolve your issue, if the mission is still in your mission log. Unfortunately if you have abandoned the mission, we cannot provide assistance. If your mission is located within a story area or flashpoint, please try leaving the phase by either: • Walking out of the Phased Zone via the Portal Entrance (Green Gate) • Reset the Phase by right clicking on your portrait and selecting reset phase /reset local phase. • Using your Quick Travel ability to a Bind Point. • Using your Emergency Fleet Pass. You can determine if your character is within a story area or flashpoint as there will be a small gold bar on your screen with a character name on it. If you are on your own, this will display your character's name. By default this is located near the top center of your screen, if you have modified your UI you may have moved it. If the bar shows a character name which is not your own, please leave the instance and then reset it following the instructions above. Once you have reset the instance, re-enter, ensuring that you are the first person to enter (this will ensure that you are the “owner” of the instance, and your name will appear on the small gold bar). Please be aware that you will not be able to successfully reset your mission when inside your personal ship or your hangar at a Spaceport, as these are considered story areas. Once you have left the story area, please open up your Mission Log (you can do this by pressing the mission icon on your main menu bar or by pressing the Mission Log key, [L] by default) and then highlight the mission you need to reset and click on the reset button. If this does not help fix your mission problem, or the mission is not located within a story phase or flashpoint, please try resetting the mission and then attempting it again. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and we apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused. EdwinLi Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 This appears to be a issue with a number of different quests.
Count_Mario Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 This appears to be a issue with a number of different quests. Yeah so far I have seen it conflict with Chapter IX, recruiting Qyzen and even Forged Alliances. Seems like a Bug with some quest mechanics.
heyjava Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) I have the same Problem. Resetting the mission and aborting is does not help. Edited November 20, 2015 by heyjava
heyjava Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I know also received the same automatic response saying that the mission is not a class story and that bioware customer service is not going to help me with this bug. Does that mean that bioware is not going to to offer support for any missions in future expansions? Considering that this mission, while not a class story mission in a strict sense, is actually a crucial mission for the expansion and for the development of your character.

Seeing how I cannnot advance in the Alliance system at all with this mission broken I would consider it a Class Story mission.
QuevvenXiltyn Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Just had the same thing happen to me. The Quest appears, but no info on how to advance it. When you open the quest window itself, the task you are to do is greyed out. First happened when I went to Zakuul. Then, upon resetting the quest, the greyed out part is boarding your ship. Part of me wonders if this is because I visited Zakuul before starting KotFE. And then, when resetting, because I had done that part before, it registers as done, but doesn't advance...
Takenuchi Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 I have absolutely the same problem, the quest is fully bugged. i tried everything but in vain and i can't progress at all. I have sent a ticket but... i don't have too much hope really
JediMord Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Have this issue on my Trooper. After speaking with Theron at the beginning of Ch 9 I got Yuuns stuff in my backpack. To find a findsman now blank. Trooper is the class I wanted to do the alliance stuff on because I was hoping for insta Yuun and insta Mx-41 Sigh....
heyjava Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Yeah a big problem is that there isnt any support at all from customer service for this mission because "This isn't a class story mission", even though it is the mission that opens up the alliance story. Seeing that resetting and abandoning it does not help at all we are probably stuck without help from CS. Or a server side bug fix,.
Axcalion Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 I also encountered this problem, among many others. I hope this is changed tomorrow or I will be spamming tickets. This is very annoying.
heyjava Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Not fixed for me after the patch. Still the exact same problems
Takenuchi Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Hello, This is the "helpful" answer to my ticket regarding this quest bug that i got from Customer Service: "Thank you for submitting a Bug Report! Bug Reports will not receive a response as they do not reach Customer Service but instead are automatically forwarded to Quality Assurance. HOWEVER, if you need additional help beyond your initial bug report, please submit a new Help Ticket under the appropriate category to contact a Customer Service Agent. Otherwise, you will not be contacted further regarding this issue." This was sent under "Bug Report" category, now i sent another one under "Mission" category but i really doubt that someone will help, i just hope they will fix it with today's patch, otherwise...
AridanS Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 One of my toons is having this same problem. Sent a report in help Missions, I even called and talked to customer service, I was told to send a bug report. Did so... Bug report said they have noted the problem.
Dutchdevil Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I have the same problem. Sent a bug report ticket and nothing back. Patch notes don't mention it either which is worrying. I hope this gets enough attention. Its pretty much a story breaking bug .
Dutchdevil Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 After this new patch the quest is now working. I had abandoned it before the patch and when I pick it up from the Alliance Alert it was working perfectly.
Takenuchi Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Yes, the quest was fixed and it's working, I have just done it. I hope that for everyone else is working as well.
DaOgre Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 (edited) All fixed after the latest patch. Thank you Code Jawas! Edited November 25, 2015 by DaOgre
