Loranae Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 So i am going to finish to finish the book 3 on my Commando, she did finish all companions stories and they all have 10 influence, so i can get the Legendary boost with 8 characters done. BUT can i delete her after that and still keep the bonuses or am i stuck with that class for ever ?
knowmyname Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) why delete, there's plenty of space for characters on each server. its really pointless to delete a character. just add a character spot and keep it but to answer your question, yes, you keep the legendary status and all buffs/bonuses along with that Edited November 18, 2015 by knowmyname

My mind can not get it to play it as well as when i am on my guardian, sage or shadow or guns or scoundrel. Commando ... i keep diing and diing and the fun is not there. I kept it until now because she was my Artificer crafter with all recipe purple but as there is no point with that now, i rather see here go bye bye so i can use her name for another class
PlacidDragon Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 (edited) BUT can i delete her after that and still keep the bonuses or am i stuck with that class for ever ? I would imagine you can, yes (since its a legacy unlock, and not character specific in that sense). That said, i've never personally tested it. But as knowmyname said, why delete it ? If you didn't like the Commando, just "retire" it, and focus playing on the classes that you do like Edited November 18, 2015 by PlacidDragon

If you didn't like the Commando, just "retire" it, and focus playing on the classes that you do like Maybe to make room for characters they like, also to recycle the name as the op said would be a good reason to delete them. But, for me, the main reason would be that they don't fit with my "personal story" that I play around in my characters. But than other would ask why make multiples of the same class, because I give them my own stories, back stories and goals and drives to make them different but also part of the whole. That's just how I like to play to amuse myself lol.
TX_Angel Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 (edited) Delete because i must admit that i dont love the class at all at least on commando. My mind can not get it to play it as well as when i am on my guardian, sage or shadow or guns or scoundrel. If you like the Guardian/Shadow/Scoundrel, then you should roll a Vanguard Trooper, you'd be happier. That being said, the Commando is my main, I do by far better with her than anyone else, so to each their own (just goes to show, different strokes for different folks). In my head, whenever facing a serious alien threat, I just picture "Private Jenette Vasquez" from Aliens pulling out her M56 Smart Gun and shouting "Lets Rock!" and going full auto on the enemy! ^ That works well when running Terror From Beyond. ObsidianBones Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I've been contemplating this all day: I have a level 65 Sith Sorcerer who has done all the chapters (to date) of KOTFE, is the starting character of my Legacy, but for some reason, I'm not satisfied with her and am considering deleting and starting over. While I'm not concerned with going through the Sith Inquisitor story over again, I'm just wondering if the Legacy will go to one of my other characters or if I'll have to start that from scratch.
Nightblazer Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I've deleted characters multiple times and never lost any legacy unlocks as a result.
CrazyCT Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I'd try to keep the character if possible. There seems to be an occasional problem with Legendary status going missing, and the easiest fix is to relog the characters.

Yeah, I've considered that extensively this morning while this was rolling around in my head, but I'm really leaning towards just starting over. I appreciate the looking out though
Theeko Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I believe you still get legend status even if you deleted the chars, once its tied to legacy its there forever I transfered one of my toons over from shadowlands to harb, and had no legacy over there but retained legendary status for only one character over there

The Legacy is the Legacy. I've deleted every single character off a server (not on my main server) and the Legacy remained intact with 0 characters in it (on the character selection page it still said "The Such and Such Legacy"). So don't worry about deleting the first character who made it
Moranae Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I deleted about 12 level 65, and never lost my legacy. I am actually finshing the empire classes and once done they will be deleted (may be not the sorcerer and agent)
ObsidianBones Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I actually did delete my SI and started over again last night, and everything was still there. Thanks for all the tips and advice. I was even able to keep the same first name and (finally) attach a last name to this character. Already up to Level 14 and on Dromund Kass.
