Aaroneus Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Hey Dudes, A couple questions to toss out before I get back into PvP after a ~3 year absence: 1) Is the classic Tank Sin w/ DPS gear and a shield still strong? I noticed we don't have the classic 3 masteries trees any more and these new linear progression paths instead. RIP hybrids. Also RIP old core stats. And 2) Am I better off running my old lvl55 expertise gear now at lvl 65 or should I mix in some lvl 65 pve gear for more of the other stats? I noticed the expertise values on each piece of the new gear are the same as the lvl 55 gear from a long time ago.
teclado Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 You can use the conqueror / obroan stuff. So long as you have 2018 expertise, you're good. You can get up to 1900 and change with 190 or below pve gear. You'd have to do some experimenting to determine which is better: obroan with 2018 expertise or 190 pve with 1900 and change expertise. Obroan is (off the top of my head) in the 158 rating ballpark, right? Yeah, tank in dps gear + shield is still good. Tank gear with endurance heavy dps mods and enhancements is the way to go if you want to be a better tank with a bit less damage. Yeah, bye-bye hybrids. BW came up with the "disciplines" system in order to kill hybrids. Not a whole lot of customization now, it's fairly cookie cutter. I don't think that 55 was the level cap three years ago - wouldn't that have been 50? Welcome back!
