thebobmaster Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Soooo, its 7.34pm here in the UK and all the servers are offline. What the hell did they break? Maintenance went on quite a bit longer than expected. PRobably had to buy new hamsters.

Spyderwoman Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Issues with patching, reading that some are stuck at zero, some at 100% but it wont complete.

Sarfux Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Settle down. Ges, sometimes things just happen! Why is it that some people just feel the need to complain if the servers aren't up when they want them to NOW! ? They'll be up soon, just give it time. Would you like maintenance or not?
Icestar Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) Lets hope that they do not release another patch that is different, I already updated my game about an hour after the downtime. If they do I really hope it will work to patch the current client. Edited November 17, 2015 by Icestar

Kianabamin Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Settle down. Ges, sometimes things just happen! Why is it that some people just feel the need to complain if the servers aren't up when they want them to NOW! ? They'll be up soon, just give it time. Would you like maintenance or not? No, No, No my friend. You have it totally wrong. Most times things just happen. Sometimes they do it right. More often they do it wrong and screw up and maintenance goes on much longer than expected. This morning is the norm. And you're right, why do people complain when something takes longer than planned? Why do people get upset that the game they want to play isn't available when they want? I mean who do these people think they are, Paying Customers? Of all the nerve
GythralSWTOR Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 There's a whole bunch of geeks running around 2 server rooms trying to catch all the hamsters that made a run for it when someone forgot to latch the temporary cage door
Rabenschwinge Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 It obviously the Rakghoul virus spreading in their system. It knows they want to turn it off again, so it's taken over their servers, turning them into killer machines that attacks the maintenance crews.
tmwfte Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 There's a whole bunch of geeks running around 2 server rooms trying to catch all the hamsters that made a run for it when someone forgot to latch the temporary cage door Maybe that's the problem? They sent geeks in to do a tech's job and the geeks bit the heads off of the hamsters.
Fleurdelis Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Shut down the servers so everyone can play Star Wars Battlefront today.
Deamandred Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Soooo, its 7.34pm here in the UK and all the servers are offline. What the hell did they break? The Companions revolted, they are tired of being messed with.

Bitraider Distribution Web Client (32 bit), Bitraider Support Service Core (32 bit) and BitRaider Support Stub (32 bit) are running as processes in the background.. No.... sign.. of further ... life from this patcher. Shame really, this patching experience has tarnished my view of the game upon returning this last week or so. No.. being honest, this patcher is DIRE.. very DIRE.

No.. being honest, this patcher is DIRE.. very DIRE. get rid of Bitraider.... Yes - NOTE this is a complete download again right mouse click on game shortcut and select open file location open the launcher.settings file in notepad and locate the below line and edit to the below , "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"BR\" }" Change to: , "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"SSN\" }" , "bitraider_disable": false Change to: , "bitraider_disable": true SAVE the changes. Delete the BitRaider, Movie and Asset folders then start the launcher. or if you have the old version still on another computer , copy all the game folders over to this computer edit - going BR to SSN is a complete re-download, going SSN to BR isn't meaning - going from Bitraider to Regular is a full game download of the assets and movies going from regular to Bitraider is not a full game download. Skauron Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Well tried the bitraider thing (exactly as suggested) and now just getting 'Unable to retrieve patch data. Please check network connection. (311) Way to go bioware/EA...having only resubbed about a week or so ago.. this has really left a very bitter aftertaste
Skauron Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 OK re-ran, and its dragging down the patches now but... at 106.27kb/s this is going to be a looooooooooooooooooooooooong ride Seems you can't win no matter which way you turn.
RaanJassa Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Soooo, its 7.34pm here in the UK and all the servers are offline. What the hell did they break? Apparently the Companions are fighting back.
Icestar Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Apparently the Companions are fighting back. Yeah, the latest theory is that Mako actually managed to slice the servers in protest of the companion nerf
crimsoncheeto Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 They didn't break anything They just started releasing the patch and then realized Battlefront was out and decided to play that today rather then going into work.
