Jinre_the_Jedi Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Personally, I'm extremely anti-sorc anything. But I had to link this guide to you guys who are thinking of picking up the class. This guide is easily, hands down the most detailed and deliberate guide I've ever seen on how to play a class in PvP. Check out Kick-Bot's guide here: 4.0 Sorc Healing guide. Well done Kick-bot, amazing detail, your level of patience to communicate all of that knowledge to the average player is astounding.

NotAnyOldName Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 My guide: Step 1: Roll your face on the keyboard. Step 2: Easily top heals and keep everyone alive. Step 3: Profit. In all seriousness though, nice guide.
DomiSotto Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) The sections on positioning and target selections should be really split out and posted separately as well as included in the guide, because they cover the material relevant for a wider audience than healing sorcs. It's a Must Read. Edited November 17, 2015 by DomiSotto

So Kre'a...Idk if it was a rumor or what not, but are you back to playing swtor again? If you are, I look forward to reading more of your guides. BTW, do you know of a good PvP tank guide? I'm going to pass along the healing guide to our guild.
Banderal Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 If you are, I look forward to reading more of your guides. BTW, do you know of a good PvP tank guide? Well, for shadow/assassin Krea's own guide includes sections on tanking (see link in his posts). For other tanks, can't help you much.

lunardiscotheque Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 This class is so faceroll right now it's destroying PvP.
Moshijklmnopqrs Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 This class is so faceroll right now it's destroying PvP. is why we need well written guides so everyone knows how to play this broken class:rak_01:

I'm not surprised that this was made by and for the Imp playing community. The level of competence of imp players is better. Most of them are capable enough, they wont embarrass themselves (though the companion is changing that recently) Reps tend to have more completely and utterly hopeless players. Imps have more healers too (due in large part to more premades) This guide should have been for the Rep side as well. But no. And now people will say that there are all mirror classes. Which still doesn't explain why guides are in 70 % for Ip dside first ? THey could have been made for Rep side first, because of mirrors ... But no, guides are mainly written for the faction which is already dominating PvP ... If all factions were balanced, then PvP guides would be written for both Rep side and Imp side in equal share. But they aren't. They are almost always written for Imp side first, or even exclusively. And people even shield themselves behind the argument "but they are mirrors" for not even including Rep side abilities' names in the guides ... Would it be that difficult, just to add a few more words into the guide ? Words containing the names of the Rep side skills & abbilitties ? Or is it lazyness that people don't even look up what the "translations" Imp side - Rep side are, and instead hide behind the "mirror" aregument ? It would be so simple copy & paste to make an Rep guide into an Imp guide ! Could it be more simple than copy & paste ? - But no, people don't want to. " 'Cause mirrors." Lazyness.
Mureas Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 If only there was a well written Operative guide that could show players why they need to be nerfed harder Only if there were any decent operative out there at all.. Could ask Osdo or Tredecim, can´t remind anyone else decent at it

I typed 6 guides. 3 of them are up atm. Dulfy still has to put up the 3 pub ones. Hottie used both imp + pub terms in her guide. I know for a fact, the person doing the PT guides also did 3 VG guides for PvP. I presume imp guides are up first because majority plays imperial. It's this really nifty thing that business use in real life called supply and demand. If statistics show that more people play imperial side, then why not crank out imperial guides first to satisfy the masses, it's just business. Whether you agree with it or not is irrelevant.
Kaitianah Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 I consider myself an above average sorc healer and agree that this guide is fantastic. I haven't had time to read all the way through just yet but I learned a thing or two I hadn't realized before. Then again, I'm one of those people who can read a guide 10 times but it only really sinks in after I've been playing something for awhile. Those who haven't been playing sorc heals for long (and even those like me who have) should learn a ton from reading this guide. Thanks to kick bot.

Why don't they just stop being lazy and look up the damn mirror ability themselves. The time and effort put into it from the author absolves them from doing this. 99% of the people who make these guides dont need to "look up the rep side abilities" thats your job if the author didn't do it. Did you see how much detail was in kick-bots guide? Would've taken twice the effort to translate everything over to sage. You have the nerve to throw around the word "lazy" Disgusting vermin Edited November 19, 2015 by Moshijklmnopqrs
