sofiir Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 From what i have seen on the forums and looking around is that the "Instant 60" characters made are limited to synthweaving, archeology, underworld trade for force users / armormech, scavenging, underworld trade non-force users. With 60s locked into these 5 skills, it makes me ask then why should i really make one besides trying out an advanced class that i haven't tried yet which doesn't leave many since I'm at legendary status. Why is this a locked in aspect? For newcomers of this game it is a helpful hand but it also limits them at the same time since if they make more than 1 non-force and force user then they get the same craft skill yes they can drop it and pick up another craft, but they then have to level it all the way to max and do the grind for mats and/or buy with the credits they don't have since they are new (not good) Why wasn't a system put in to pick our own crew skills? For veteran players like myself i have a number of toons, but not all max crew skills because they were made during increased xp time frames so they all have very low crew skill points. The new adjustments to gathering are really helpful but what about mission skills that is a credit sink that until maxing out doesn't yield much profit and its a long way to pay to 500 to start getting the grade 8 mats that you actually need Allowing players to also set up their crew skills for instant 60 would be a very nice addition to this very nicely revamped crew skill system which has not gotten much love since launch
Jadescythe Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 You can choose whichever skills you want, but they will not be level 500 automatically. Simply remove the default options and speak with the crew skill trainers on fleet for new ones.

It's not like it takes any real amount of time to max a crew skill. you can change them out and have them maxed in a day two at the most. Edited November 16, 2015 by Anaesha

Pretty sure they mean from the Create-a-60 menu, not after it; I also think we should be able to pick Dark V or Light V, but it's not that much to ask that we be able to pre-select our crew skills with such a system.

To be completely honest with the insta 60's I would have preferred a system like DA;I's Keep that would of allowed us to set our chosen classes major decisions like who we romanced, did we side with jadus (agent story) etc etc.
JouerTue Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 OP wanted a 500 slicer/scavenger/bioanalizer as i wanted. that's why i was using my token, together with having another sent to do more hm pugs. not fair but expected.

As well as pick our crew skills, LS/DS alignment. Why? Because not everyone wants to synthweave, or mesh armour, and if you'd already played to 60, from level 1, and were consistent with your alignment, you'd already be Dark V or Light V. Plus, if we already completed chapter 3 story, a fresh 60 we make should have the titles they earned as that level one having finished chapter 3 at whatever level, provided that the level 60 was the same basic class. As I've got Legendary Status (all 8 class stories done), any fresh 60 I make should have all those titles, having done that all before at least once.

I got to admit the no titles thing did get to me when right out of the gate for Fallen Empire I chose to do a trooper and Jorgan calls me major yet when I look at my titles I have none.
