Soloing of HM FP

I've seen in a few different thread comments about the companions not being as powerful as before since you can't solo Hard Mode Flashpoints. I've never tried to do them at level 50 solo, so I can't confirm if the companion were powerful enough to do it then. But, I've decided to try it at level 65 and see if I could do it on my sentinel with my 50 influence C2-N2.

 

So far, I've tried 3 FP that were previously level 50 and are now level 65.

 

Kaon Under Siege which I wasn't able to get pass the Turret Boss since C2-N2 kept getting killed due to his stacking right on top of the turret when screamer and bloated infected were attacking.

 

Maelstrom Prison, took some time and many death, but I've been able to finish that flashpoint and kill all the bosses, including the bonus one.

 

Directive 7, I've been able to clear the entire flashpoint in around 1 hour. Died twice, once on the bonus boss and another time on Mentor. I've adjusted my strategies and managed to kill them on the second try. I've recorded that run and here are the link to the videos for the entire run.

Rawr I'm going to unsub unless they let me use my companions in operations too so I can solo ops, rawr, that or make my character immortal, I play for STOOOOOORY

1. You have better gear, and possibly better skills than most casuals will ever have.

 

2. There are plenty of HM FP that you won't be able to do even in BIS/50 comp even without the nerf due to sheer DPS check/DMG output/Mechanics etc.

 

3. These weren't cakewalk, according to your info, and in fact were challenging. "Challenge" isn't that what the pro-nerf crybabies wanted?

 

4. It's META. Meta game keeps people playing after they've finished the grind on however many characters they choose. Meta keeps people playing in between the meager content drops. Meta is a huge value to this game and all other MMOs. Comp nerf will effectively kill the majority of the Meta game in SWTOR, because things that are anywhere close to challenging now will be totally impossible for the vast majority of players after the nerf.

Nice job! Back when I soloed Kaon at level 50 what I did was to skip the turret fight by staying on top of some rubble, I was never able to do it legitimately. The final boss was probably my favourite though.

 

Soloing hm flashpoints were the best moments I've had while playing this game. The only reason I have for getting my companions to level 50 affection is to do it once again. It's probably even better now that the cooldown for the heroic moment is much shorter.
