Count_Mario Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I know I am not alone this, so this isn't just my idea. Since we now know about recruitment tracks with certain Alliance specialists (you have to complete Qyzen's recruitment mission to get Lokin's recruitment mission) a lot of altoholics are concerned. Certain companions just don't seem to fit into certain Alliances and it's also kind of annoying to spend a lot of materials on Lokin, even one wants to refuse his recruitment. Getting some recruitment missions out of ones Alliance window (to stop the symbol from glowing) seems impossible, if one doesn't want to recruit M1-4X for example. PVP isn't something everybody enjoys, but there is also the fact, that Forex is a companion strongly tied to his faction. Getting a bit into the roleplay aspect here, Forex isn't a companion I would trust to keep the peace with his former enemies. On the other hand we are also forced to recruit the Warstalkers, who have essentially betrayed the Republic on Denova. Being unwilling to recruit them via Qyzen keeps me from recruiting Lokin.
Isnogut Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I totally support this. By the way, I also want to have the possibility to throw some unloved companions out of our rooster, if they are not really important for the story.
InabaSensei Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 signed, baby. they should have done this in the first place since that's what their information control lead us to believe.
Gwena Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Agreed! I was looking forward to choosing which companions to recruit for each character. Partly due to what I suppose one would call "RP reasons", and partly to keep things interesting by not doing ALL of the same recruitment quests on EVERY character. The way Alliance recruiting currently works is one of the reasons I don't plan on taking many characters through KotFE.
Kulyok Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Fully agreed. Honestly, I'd rather we never recruited any of them at all, since they're essentially silent companions with only one (recruiting) conversation. But, yeah, I'm totally in favor of refusing those recruitment missions.
LordFell Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 This seems reasonable to me. I'm someone who has an interest in roleplay, and I also have 8 characters.
