I would like to tell the developing team a few of my concerns regarding the game as of late.I recently started replaying the game after a 4 month hiatus. First of all i would like to say that so far i really like the new expansion Knights of the Fallen Empire. I would like to say that i'm not a really big fan of the fact that now you can assign any of the three roles (damage, tank, healer) to any of the companions that you pick. I understand that this allows the user to play with his favorit companion through the entire game, or to play with any companion, but i belive that some of the fun and joy of playing the game in the past, when every companion had an assigned role, is lost. In the past the player had to make sure that he had sufficent medpacks and maybe stims to procced further into the story. Having the abillity to assing any role to you're companion simplifies the game (for example: now instead of joining with another player to complete Heroic 2 or Heroic 2+ quests, they can be finished by only one player that has the companion assigned to the role of the healer, thus taking away the neccesity for the player to complete said quests with other players, which is an integral part of any MMO). Second: i don't really like that fact now i don't really need to get new equipment for my companion, as the new equipment will not affect the companions stats, but will change only it's appearence. Again this is an important factor, because the is becoming to streamlined and to easy to complete and there is no challenge left, due to the fact that you don't have to worry about the fact that your companion no longer has up to date gear. I understand that this takes some stress away from the player because he no longer has to worry about the companion but that just further simplifies the game. Third: It is my belief that now the player can level the Main Character, far to easy. For instance, i just completed the origin story for the Sith Warrior on Dromund Kass, and left the planet with a level 19 character ( i didn't do any Heroic missions). Please note that the level range for the next planet (Balmorra) is 16-20. Thus making the MC over-powered. Fourth: I would like to suggest that you remove that abillity for the main character to receive the rested double experience boost if the player exits the game and leaving the main character anywhere else other then a cantina or the main characters ship. Please note that this also allows the main character to level up quickly, thus making him over-powered. I suggest that if you want to allow this to remain in the game, that you might implement a buff that cancels this buff for players that don't want to level up to quickly or that don't want to be to over-powered. Fifth: I also suggest that you might want to implement some kind of limitation on that Tactical Flashpoints because people tend to abuse them and than they get to level 65 and they want to do high-end operations and content, but they don't really know what to do and they don't generally have the neccesary equipment. My personal opinion is that in this cases you might want to return the game to the state in which it was during patch 2.0 and 3.0. Maybe strike a balance between the gameplay and difficulty of those two patches. Although i can understand the need to make the game more east and simplified, i belive that it will get to the point where it will become just about grinding through the levels and planets just to reach level 65 and start doing high-end content and operations, which will make the story element of the game become irrelevent.
