SgtJeremy Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I haven't seen it, but I hear about people kicking bad healers to replace with Comp healers. Key words being "Bad healers". Not sure if there is a new "fad" with kicking human healers for Comp healers before getting a chance to see if said human healer is good or not. I doubt many people would do that. But what do I know, the answer is not much.

But what do I know, the answer is not much. I could see some players doing this... Here is the scenario... 3 guildies form a group, one of them has a comp that is high enough to handle healing an FP. They queue, then kick the non-guildy healer. Loot rolls are not reduced from 4 rolls per item to 3.
Uruare Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Barring the epic break I and a bunch of my friends are taking courtesy of Fallout 4, we've been doing a lot of guild runs. Haven't been jackholes to any healers like this yet and wouldn't be, because that's crappy. That's all I can really say on it.
Alkuzar Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) I haven't seen this happen, but i can see it happen as my companion has higher heals and crit heals then players. My companion is rank 50 tho. Only thing that's missing from a companion are AoE heals. But i have not checked if any of the companions have that. Personally i see no reason to replace a player if he does his job. And one thing you have to worry about with companions is that they Don't avoid attacks from bosses or AoE attacks, but i seen enough players who also have problems with that. sentientomega Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 There should be two other GF modes for FPs, 2m, 3m, as well as the standard 4m. Queue times would be ALOT shorter. Then two dps could queue, and bring healing companions, because companions have NO armour in most FPs, they cannot act as tanks. I should what the OP's suggesting happens is where nobody is actually fulfilling their role, so they blame the healer, rightly or wrongly.
hadoken Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 They're fixing this, and not in a way anyone is going to enjoy.
DizzD Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) Well, the baddie crybabies apparently got their way. BW is nerfing companions into the dirt on Tuesday. NEWS FLASH: BADDIES WILL STILL GET KICKED OTHER NEWS FLASH: Companion nerf will cause tons of people to unsub including said baddies, who will ironically be the hardest hit by this change when they can't solo for crap anymore. iankalo Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 People prefer to do the Rakghoul Event H4 mission in groups of 2 + 2 healing companions , too.
Alkuzar Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 People prefer to do the Rakghoul Event H4 mission in groups of 2 + 2 healing companions , too. I solo it with a healing companion and i also seen others solo it.
sentientomega Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I solo it with a healing companion and i also seen others solo it. But yours is rank 50, and you and they may also solo face-roll 16m NiM.; I guess with the nuke-nerf that's bound to happen with 4.0.2, we'll never really know.

I'm totally ok with a comp nerf, but where can i find the info about that? As i seen more people posting about that. And i'm not that active on here, so haven't found it myself.

Kymerous Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Ive not only seen it, but have had it happen to me. Ran a HMFP last night, loaded in and saw 3 people from same, rather well known guild, and thought sweet...cake walk. Didnt even get to the first pull and I had a vote kick tossed on me with the reason of "Need the kills on C2N2"
Alec_Fortescue Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 If healers are bad, and non-communicative or severely undergeared then I don't see a problem. Nobody wants to have their time wasted on a simple flashpoint.

Source please? It's not that i don't believe you - the fix is long overdue - but I can't find any mentions of it.

Qouted for truth! :/ I quite enjoyed the fact that I can run HMs with a single friend and our companion without having tanks/healers with attitude who knew that nobody will kick them and wait hours for a next one! Just needed to find random people willing to check tank/heal and leave for us. Edited November 15, 2015 by Alec_Fortescue
AlrikFassbauer Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 In the Rakghul Event H4, in 2 cases we decided to take out or Companions for healing. One case was when we were 2 and didn't find any others in our level range, the other case was that we were 4, with 2 of us being level 65, and 2 of us being level 60 / 61. We decided to split the group and do the H4 with Companions instead. Worked.

Adjusting companions is fine as they are a bit too strong, nuking them to oblivion like it appears they are doing is not. And nerfing them won't fix the problems with people getting kicked out of tacticals, as the problem isn't companions being overpowered, but most trash mobs and some bosses being overpowered against underpowered lowbies (bolstering lowbies with few abilities and missing slots to 50K HP and 1K damage / healing is a joke). So unless they are also adjusting the damage done by the mobs in tacticals and / or adjusting bolster so lowbies with several missing slots and just a couple of abilities are on par with 65s, they are setting themselves up for a bunch of negative feedback when casuals start struggling with solo content and can't complete what should be casual friendly group content (i.e. tacticals). RogerApple Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Source please? It's not that i don't believe you - the fix is long overdue - but I can't find any mentions of it. It's been a week since the expansion came out for everyone..long overdue. Don't worry the number of people who might quit to this change will likely balance out the server so that the population will return to pre expansion levels. It wasn't just the expansion that kept people playing. It was they were enjoying the game mostly people who level depend on healer companions. You are just punishing people for not buying a 60 level token. Great job.

Exactly. People kick one person to pull healer comp are not exactly becouse of player. But becouse sometimes it's impossible to do tacticals without healer... Especially if there's 4 squishy low level DPS. Bioware should fix problem with Flashpoints. Not companions.

It's data mined information so you're not going to find anything official until it happens on Tuesday. By then, of course, complaining and worrying about it will do no good.

I predict that everyone who liked the comps as they are and even the people that are complaining they're op and want them changed will be on the forums whirling up a firestorm when they log in after 4.0.2 and they find out their comps aren't just slightly weaker but drastically weaker.

Yeah! This gonna be so much fun to farm rep for Alliance now
