MiddleVeen Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 For some reason, my game has an issue of crashing/freezing during cut scenes. I have had this issue on multiple characters and on different servers. I have the letters ST in the bottom left hand corner of my Launcher but i have tried deleting Bit Raider. Nothing seems to work. If anyone can help me out with this it would be great. Also I am not sure if this is the right place, any help would be appreciated.
LordSkyKnight Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I am going to take a guess it is because your computer may be lacking in strength. A lot of people with older hardware have been having issues with the expansion areas and cut scenes. Try lowering your graphic settings and see if the cut scene runs any better.
makkunkun Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Hello, Sorry to hear you are having trouble enjoying this game. There are multiple places you can find help. I hesitate to provide any specific advice to the problem without more information. I recommend the EA Answers HQ for SWTOR. There are a lot of diligent and smart individuals there. You can post a thread just like here. Hope this helps. Have a nice day.
Jerqa Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 You might also try to run a repair from the Launcher to let it check for any corrupt files that your installation may have.
daddyrex Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I'm having the same prob and I'm running a core i7 and 2 months ago installed a GTX 960 I have deleted bitraiders (?) lowered graphic settings sent support an email and they gave me links to check my drivers, bio's, etc. and its all good on my end according to these links. I constantly have freezing up it doesn't matter what I'm doing or where I'm at. I even did a re-install and its the same. I just recently re-subbed and this is getting really frustrating. Thanks.
JediQuaker Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) Many people assume these "freeze-ups" are linked to their video card or driver, but in most cases they are caused by conflicts between various drivers. So, make sure all of your drivers (and your Windows) are up to date - particularly your chipset, audio, network and video drivers. Even then, you may continue to have problems if the drivers for your particular hardware haven't been updated sufficiently, by the hardware maker, or the hardware is just not capable of doing certain things. Very good advice. I often forget to ask, or think to suggest, that people check to be sure all of their drivers are up to date because I am very picky about this myself and often assume that everyone keeps their system up to date.

As fairly clueless computer user, how would you go about to check if everything is updated? I know that this computer is only a few months old but I am not sure if i have keep everything up todate
