Omorx Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 I will start this by saying that I agree the content (pre-KOTFE) was in need of some beefing up, but post-KOTFE the flashpoints are ridiculous, regardless of mode. Solo Mode: These are now a joke and provide ZERO incentive for completion. The only ones that come close to requirement are the Ilum FPs that are tied into the planetary story reqs. The remainder serve no purpose whatsoever that I can fathom. Please correct me if I am mistaken. Tactical Mode: These are doable so long as you do not get level-sync toons in the mix. Level-sync kills. I find it all well and good to bolster dmg/health/healing for the lower ranked toons; however, bolster does NADA for the lack of abilities that those toons do not yet have. Hard Mode: Making every HM a level 65 seems like a great idea, but the difficulty on them seems to border on impossibility. And I will add that I do not give a rat's *** that some groups seem to be walking through the HMs. The fact is that a majority of players cannot complete the things based on the forums and general in-game chatter. Adding to that the insult of placing some crafting mats as a drop only from HMs now creates a situation where the game is ending up with a greater distinction in gaming classes and a mandate to group for content to get anywhere meaningful in the game. Even the ops seem like a walk in the park compared to the HMs. Basically, the market prices are now grossly overpriced and there are less haves and more have-nots amongst the players. Granted, there will always be this separation to some extent, but it seems as though the haves are now akin to the 1%. One of two solutions is necessary to resolve this. Either have the mats drop elsewhere in the game or the difficulty level of the HMs needs to come down a tad. Perhaps a bit of both since not everyone should have to group play to have any lasting success in the game. A lot of what I read from Bioware about this new expansion was how they wanted to improve the gameplay for players, but what I see is that they are catering the content (perhaps inadvertently) to a minority group. Does everything need to be a piece of cake or solo-possible? Absolutely not. But there does need to be some common sense added back into the game so that the majority can fully enjoy the game time they pay for.

The remainder serve no purpose whatsoever that I can fathom. Please correct me if I am mistaken. They are all part of the "core story." Tactical Mode: These are doable so long as you do not get level-sync toons in the mix. Level-sync kills. I find it all well and good to bolster dmg/health/healing for the lower ranked toons; however, bolster does NADA for the lack of abilities that those toons do not yet have. "Bolster" and "level sync" are not the same thing. I think the only Tacticals that sync are BT and Ess. Hard Mode: Making every HM a level 65 seems like a great idea, but the difficulty on them seems to border on impossibility. Adding to that the insult of placing some crafting mats as a drop only from HMs Name the crafting mat is available only from HM FPs. If HMs are too much, don't run them. That's my solution for the vast majority of them (I only run a select few with people I know, and I have no intention of ever PUGging one via GF; no reason to do so). A lot of what I read from Bioware about this new expansion was how they wanted to improve the gameplay for players, but what I see is that they are catering the content (perhaps inadvertently) to a minority group. What group is that? Soloers can do many (most?) FPs on solo mode. The vast majority of the Tacticals can be done easily via GF (2 notable exceptions requiring people who know what they are doing are Manaan and Blood Hunt). And then HMs for the "hardcore." Does everything need to be a piece of cake or solo-possible? Absolutely not. But there does need to be some common sense added back into the game so that the majority can fully enjoy the game time they pay for. You do not need to be able to easily do, e.g., Lost Island on HM to "fully enjoy the game."
