AlixMV Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 (edited) New to endgame or a returning player looking to knock off the rust? Not a member of a Guild that raids, but you're interested in learning how to do Operations? <Fortitude> invites you to join a core of their experienced members Pub side in the Group Finder Operation Mondays at 10pm Eastern. We'll walk you through the mechanics and help you learn the basics of how to raid in an 8-man group, such as etiquette and terminology. Requirements: Participating characters must be a minimum of level 50, with a Mainhand and Offhand equipped appropriate to the character's Advanced Class (e.g., a Shield on any flavor of tank, a second lightsaber for a Sentinel, etc.). Since we'll be doing a Story Mode Op (which is bolstered), appropriate stats and other gear is encouraged, but not strictly required. A desire to learn, a willingness to listen, and the ability to take constructive feedback.A good attitude! This is a game and we should be having fun. Wipes have a good chance of happening in a group with several beginners. Be ready to roll with it. Teamspeak 3 (TS3) downloaded and installed prior to start time, and a willingness to be on it. We'll be using that for voice communication (server info will be provided at the time). StarParse downloaded and installed prior to start time. This is a common real-time parsing program used by raid teams, and we'll work on introducing you to how to use it. In addition to this, you'll need to enable Combat Logging in your game ([ESC] menu->Preferences->Combat Logging -- check the box to enable combat logging to your computer)Time availability of two hours (10pm-12am Eastern). The Operation may take less time than that to complete, but we'll try not to go longer than that unless we're so close to the end that going only a few extra minutes would allow us to finish. Related to this......an understanding that we may not finish the chosen Operation. The focus of the session is teaching and learning, and that will likely make us slower than 'usual' PUG Op groups. An expectation that players may only win one Unassembled Token per evening. This is not intended to be a personal gearing run. (An 'Unassembled Token' includes: Earpiece, Implants, Relics, Main and Offhand, and all 7 set bonus Armor pieces. If you still don't understand what this means, don't worry--we can explain further the night of. Just remember to ask us for clarification. ) Participants will be selected based on availability of slots for their preferred role, and we'll be looking to mix in at least some characters not currently in a Guild into every group. We should have at least one spot open for every role, but space is limited, so please be online by 10pm Eastern to better your chances of getting in on the run. If you find you like doing Operations with us and there's a mutual fit, the option may be open to join the Guild full time for further raiding opportunities. ----- I'll be posting to this thread each week to announce the next available night and who to look for online at the time to contact, so keep an eye on it for ongoing opportunities to get in! If you have any questions, please feel free to DM me here or contact me in-game on any of the toons mentioned in my signature below. Who we are: Fortitude is a friendly guild that is serious about having fun and clearing content. At its core is the simple goal of building a positive community of active players to foster endgame play. Edited November 13, 2015 by AlixMV

Avinler Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Another successful week and a job well done Alix! For the community, let us know if there are other days/times that would be desirable for this type of run and we'll see if we can expand on the early success of these Monday night learning runs.
