Spoiler in question...Is it impossible to defeat Darth Magnus in solo mode fp?

My Commando is right at level 59, and I tried doing the False Emperor solo with one of my companions and the robot they give you now. I don't have a knock back ability, and have been unable to knock him off the ledge, so is it just impossible for me to defeat him, and should I delete the quest and go back and get it again, only this time try to find others to group with? Thanks for any help.

Side note: I tried to defeat him for about an hour and a half last night, not many people on planet so decided to try solo mode.

You don't need to knock him off any more, just kill him

I got him down to 10% health last night, and he just suddenly disappeared and showed up where the fight started with full health. I was the only one left standing, so I thought we still had to knock him off. I'll try again. Thank you for the help.

Can't offer any insight into what happened, but commandos do have a knockback ability. Sounds like a bug if he just up and reset, or like maybe you ran him too far and he resets beyond a certain range, though that would be odd in a closed off room. Good luck.

I just beat him last night without knockback. Nothing abnormal. If he gets pulled too far away maybe he resets, but I didn't have any reason to fight him outside of the stairwell
