ZaichiZ Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Is it on purpose or coincidence that all 3 of the inquisitor's 'Darth titles' are the names of Harry Potter spells? Wouldn't be surprising considering Ea's involvement with the franchise. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_spells_in_Harry_Potter#Nox http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Wand-Extinguishing_Charm http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Oculus_Reparo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_spells_in_Harry_Potter#Imperio http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Imperius_Curse
Arkeran Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 (edited) Rowling uses a lot of latin's words for spells, and so did BW for some sith's titles, I don't think there is a direct link whatsoever. Edited November 13, 2015 by Arkeran

I know, however Nox is a Greek/Roman goddess. there's also the fact EA does the Harry Potter games. I'd say you're probably right though, after all Darth Thanaton comes from a Greek origin as well (Thanatos).

Pretty much this. You better not be telling me my Dark Lord of the Sith is running around with a name from tween wizard fiction.

Daewan Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Nox- darkness, night, death Oculus - eye, seeing, foresight Imperio - one who commands, imperial It's not a Harry Potter reference, the writers just used words that meant what they wanted to imply.
Lazproperty Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 (edited) It's Occlus as in occlusion/obstruction, not Occulus. Due to the fact your neutral ways are mysterious and indiscernible. Edited November 23, 2015 by Lazproperty
StarkHelsing Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 No. I was going to say just 'No' but forum won't let me. So have more 'No'.
