Companions can die depends on Affection in KOTFE??!!!

I just saw a fleet debate where people talking about affection and companions that they can die or stay alive in upcoming chapters, someone said low affection will result a companion will leave the outlander and probably will die.

is that true? Higher affection rate will save my companion? I'm shocked because I never heard any news or any blog post about this, or I'm missing something? If so whats the recommended affection rate for Lana and Senya? I don't want to see they die in upcoming chapters

I really doubt affection alone will determine this, there will be a choice involved. More than likely there will be a pop up, like with the romances, "Are you suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeee?"
