Eleonora Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Agreed. No idea why they let him do anything. Inb4 banned now.

Otherwise you are just a rumor mongerer and sensationalist.

QuevvenXiltyn Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 This thread won't end well. I have a bad feeling about this...
JessieLoverRxE Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 So...since I'm pretty bored, i randomly checked this dudes twitter. By the looks of it, he plays the game quite a bit, commenting he got to chapter 6 in the first 2 days of early access, along with sharing things such as getting the Kai Zykken's mount from a pack etc. Not all that important maybe, It just sorta makes me wonder since you made some pretty bald claims.
Spyderwoman Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 That's a matter of opinion. Those are very serious allegations. You better have proof to back your assertions. Otherwise you are just a rumor mongerer and sensationalist. Agreed and I will add. Its not our job to decide who gets a pink slip. When OP gets a job in the company with enough pull to do so, then he/she can talk. Otherwise its all opinion without any proof.
cagthehack Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Who the hell is Eric Musco? And why should I care?
QuevvenXiltyn Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Who the hell is Eric Musco? And why should I care? I think he is the most visible of the devs/community managers or something. IIRC, he was on the panel answering questions about KotFE before its release.
Pagy Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 re: Eric, he's not more or less incompetent than any community manager i've seen for other video games. people expect too much from CM's. They likely aren't paid much and their job description is pretty light. expectations dont match reality. they arent developers, they aren't producers. they are forum moderators and mouthpieces. they aren't decision makers or management.
Spyderwoman Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Who the hell is Eric Musco? And why should I care? You didn't watch much or any of the podcasts etc about the new expansion did you? If you do you would know
WorldSmasher Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Who the hell is Eric Musco? And why should I care? It's alright. You don't have to hurt yourself worrying about it. Just go back into whatever cave you were hibernating in, and go back to sleep. The sun will continue to rise and set each day, and you won't have to worry over it.
hadoken Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Those are pretty terrible reasons to lose a job. Hell #3 I wasn't even sure of as for the longest time it was 5 (but it's 6 now?).

I don't live the game. I didn't watch any podcast or read any articles, or follow anyone who tweeted about the expac.

This needs to be emphasised. I think people often give him and others a much harder time than they deserve, though I do understand that he is the first person that a lot of complainers will see interacting with the community. GetPloughed Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 BioWare still hasn't fired Mac Walters, a man directly responsible for ruining their biggest franchise. You think they care enough to fire a community manager? The hell does a community manager do anyways, get paid to post on forums? You think they'll hire you instead or the guy they replace him with will be any different.
Asroha Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 I would say all of Bioware should be fired for KotFE, that is, if it were their idea. No... Disney is responsible for it. That's where this goofy story and the massive changes really came from. Either Disney, or one of the former LucasArts flunkies that they didn't lay off during acquisition. They should have cleaned house at LucasArts when they acquired the company.

They should have cleaned house at LucasArts when they acquired the company. Disney controls the licence, they dont control the game. This half arsed attempt at making the game good again is EA's doing. And this change is all cash grabbed based. They are going to focus on the Cartel Market and getting people into the game for one month. That's all it takes to finish it now with any class even if your casual. Someone else so said he plays quite a bit he made it to chapter 6 on day two of early access. Lets think about that. Most of us that even play one day a week finished all 9 chapters the first day of early access.

TUXs Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 I'm not one to shy away from being critical of Bioware, but Musco? You're blaming the wrong person. He's a good guy...stop being an ahole.
Jadescythe Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 1) Dylan 2) Dylan 3) Dylan 4) Dylan 5) Dylan Because I spit hot fire! But seriously, this thread is dumb. Unless Musco is a fan of pink.
Frenesi Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 (edited) Musco or not, we could use better community management overall. I'm slowly drifting to GW2, and I'm fairly amazed by the things I see on forums there. Not CMs, but actual developers, people who design content, come and answer questions, provide their reasoning for balancing decisions, explain the reasons behind bugs(!). Then those things get discussed, and from those discussions comes fair share of good ideas that get implemented later. Here we have patchnotes announcements... Oh, and not so long ago there were expansion announcements, always happening AFTER we knew everything they got to say. By this time we have at least 20 topics about companions - and it looks like CM does his best to avoid it like plague. Any answer in any of them would do. "Yes, we screwed up and will up the difficulty". "No, it's intended, we won't do anything". Hell, even "Sorry, we don't give a ****, we are too busy swimming in money" would be better then absolute silence we've got since 4.0 landed. It's not like CM is busy with bug fixing...
