That is my understanding from this... if you have a PCI-E which I am almost sure you do yes. You could get a card close to $100 that would play this game pretty well on high settings or you fork out the money and never worry about raid lag or anything for about $200. Just something you need to decide but on board graphics is terrible. I even gave my parent my old video card because even though they don't play games it makes videos and any type of media that much smoother.
pegasussgc Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 No, that CPU will bottleneck that GPU. Your best bet would be to get a new motherboard, an Intel CPU and that GPU. Or at the very least get a new CPU. This one is the same socket type: AMD X4 760K. Also upgrade your power supply to a good quality 500 watt at least for that CPU + GPU combo.

In that general price range, you might want to look at something based on a GTX 960 and do some comparison. EDIT: and as suggested, look into a new CPU, for money sake you can upgrade in that same socket without swapping out the motherboard and RAM too. Edited November 9, 2015 by Max_Killjoy

This ^^ Remember, SWTOR leverages the CPU for it's performance. The graphics card is not central to SWTOR's performance. However, it's better to use a separate graphics card than to use the CPU's graphics component. So, either: 1) upgrade the CPU and get a graphics card. This will get you some improved performance gains. Or 2) upgrade the motherboard and get an even better CPU, you could use the same graphics card. This will seriously improve your performance. Pay attention to what you will use for the memory sticks. The RAM sticks you have now may not be suitable for a new mobo. So, look at the mobo book for suitable RAM.
