My first post, I couldn't find a similar thread. Here goes, I am loving SWTOR and will continue to do so. I have played since KOTOR and have been hooked ever since.

 

I believe however you guys should introduce two new classes for each for the Republic and the Empire. My ideas are as follows:

 

Republic:

 

Droid Class: Perhaps Battledroid and then two advanced classes)

 

Sentinel(Heal, Tank)

 

"Counter-Assault"(Tank, DPS)

 

They could also have armour drops similar to the other classes, to change their appearance as the story progresses.

 

Jedi Master Class(Reminiscent of KOTOR II, when specialising): For the Jedi master I was thinking along the lines of a character with High charisma/Wisdom(I know these two stats are redundant).

 

Diplomat(Heal,Tank) they are the true peacekeepers who use words as their weapons, but when things get heavy they can inspire their followers, draw their lightsabre to resolve the issue.

 

Battlemaster(DPS, Tank)Similar to Mace Windu. They are headstrong, and usually ask questions later. But are ultimately good.

 

Empire:

 

Droid Class: Battledroid:

 

Combat Droid(DPS) Something similar to the battledroids during the Clone wars, but with armour drop you can make then more menacing in appearance.

 

Assassin(DPS, Heal): something along the lines of IG-86 or even HK. You could have a specialisation similar to operative.

 

Sith Lord(Reminiscent of KOTOR II, when specialising):

 

Manipulator(Heal, Tank) The polar opposite to the diplomat, they use their words to pull strings from behind the scenes, to manipulate and betray. They drain the will of their enemies and use it to empower themselves.

 

Enforcer:(DPS, Tank) Seething with rage and hate, borderline nihilistic. They seek only to increase their power using their physical might and deadly proficiency with the force.

Dev team is focused on new chapters of story content. We won't be getting any new classes.

 

And if we do it won't be new classes like that because of the money it will cost it will come in the form of a new advanced class system.

I thought that would be the case, one can dream.......

 

It would take a hell of a lot of work to rope in 4 different stories in the old content.

Not that it'll ever happen, but here's some class ideas I'd love to see...

 

Imperial Soldier: Yeah, I know, the Imp Trooper in itself isn't a new idea, but the distinct aspect I'd like to see for it would be to give the version with Heavy Cannon proficiency a variation of Cover (like Agents/Smugglers) that shows up as using a turret mechanism to support the cannon, with increased alacrity and reduced ammo expenditure while using the turret.

 

Swashbuckler: A Light/Medium armored character using a one-handed melee weapon as primary, with a blaster pistol as secondary... kind of a flip side to the way Agents use a knife, with the blaster being used for a few special attacks and the rest being a melee character that isn't a Force User.

 

Teras Kasi Artist: A straightforward unarmed combatant using light armor only, but with massive defense/dodge bonuses. Primary and Offhand would use a new class of weaponry specific to the class (Since it's never gonna happen, who cares if that would mean more work?) called techniques, styles, or forms. There'd be lots of debuffs, counterattacks, and so on. It'd use a momentum based energy bar kinda like Knight/Warrior, except that you wouldn't spend the energy to use attacks. Instead, as your bar increases, you gain damage buffs, and either defense or alacrity buffs depending on your subclass choice. One of the defense subclass specializations would be a Tank set, which gives tremendous bonuses as long as you are stationary, as sort of a Sumo build. No Hadoukens.
