seanisawake Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Planning to get back into SWTOR... Im currently on POT5. Which server would be the best candidate for me to move too? I enjoy all aspects of this game and would like to have a healthy server base.
Doreian Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 In the absence of any kind of sanity. Move to The Harbringer. Our server seems to go down alot due to hamsters being overworked, but you will find people. Now when I cannot login because server crash I will blame you..... Just kidding. Have fun on Harbringer where people are actually playing.
Dreamquencher Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 In the absence of any kind of sanity. Move to The Harbringer. Seriously, how hard is it to spell "Harbinger"? You are like the 100th person here to fail miserably when attempting to spell the name of your own server. Dyslexic people of the world: UNTIE!
papragu Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 just login to the game and have a look at the server list, then deicde by population.
Djiini Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Ebon Hawk. The only server more populated is Harbinger, which suffers chronic downtimes because of it. And last time I said that, someone responded 'no it doesn't that's very rare' about a week before it downed for several hours twice in one month, so just sharing that.
Damask_Rose Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 The Shadowlands is a good alternative. It has a good sized population and is on the East coast. It is also more stable than the Harbinger.
CaptRogue Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Dyslexic people of the world: UNTIE! LOL Love that. OP, Harbinger & Shadowlands are both real good servers. Both have great play bases, but Harbinger's is a bit longer due to over seas players.
CaptRogue Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Ebon Hawk. The only server more populated is Harbinger, Um what?! lol EH is less populated than SL.

Sianukvil Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Hello! Same question for European servers...
GoldenHornet Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Hello! Same question for European servers... The Red Eclipse has the largest population by some margin.
Machinder Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Jedi Covenant if you like working with people. Shadowlands if you like working against people. Ebon Hawk if you roleplay. Harbinger should only be considered if you are not near the East Coast, and have the patience to deal with lots of 12 yr olds.

Friends left there for Harb. Working against what? Do tell. East Coast here, Harb works just as well for me there or on east coast servers. All depends on your internet.
Machinder Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) Drama occurs in guilds regardless of server. Servers don't have drama, guilds do. In Shadowlands, people will come ninja your mission objective or gathering node while you are fighting the mob. Some flagged players will even try to flag you so they can kill you while you fight the mob. Some guilds will taunt away and try to reset World Bosses, commanders, etc. On Jedi Covenant, a player of the opposite faction might help you down that mob whether you needed the help or not. This may be due to serveral Republic and Imperial guilds having alliances. Many guilds are allied and often run ops, events, and pvp together. My internet is great. I only play on Harbinger after 1am EST when activity dies down on the East Coast servers. Harbinger's gtn is one of the best, and everybody should keep at least one rich character there just to buy stuff to collections unlock. Lots of followers on the Harbinger, they follow friends there without checking other servers out for themselves. The crap?! I've been told not to go to JC because of the drama. BelenUmeria Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 To be fair, Shadowlands had a great population until the server merges and the recent decision by the PVP servers to move to Shadowlands. I have nothing against PvPers, but we got a mass influx of the jerks from the PvP servers that caused those servers to be ghost towns.
richiesilva Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 (edited) Hello! Same question for European servers... As has been said, The Red Eclipse. Pretty mature population as well, except Dromund Kaas and Alderaan (Rep side), for some bizarre reason. Edited November 9, 2015 by richiesilva

But whatever the case, the guilds there are drama queens, or just one. Just one too many for me. Enough drama on the servers I'm on. The guilds I know that transferred from Pot5, you can keep WAAAAAY over there. lol Away from SL & Harb. Never seen that prob on SL yet. See stuff like that on all servers though. Harb & Pot5. Nothing new. Nothing special to SL. hehe The GTN can be good at times. Well if your friends went there, why would you transfer to a different server? To be fair, Shadowlands had a great population until the server merges and the recent decision by the PVP servers to move to Shadowlands. I have nothing against PvPers, but we got a mass influx of the jerks from the PvP servers that caused those servers to be ghost towns. ^ My first taste of Shadowlands was PvP on imp side. Horrid. I transferred off. Only came back because my Pot5 guild moved there. Coming from Pot5 that says something. But they were idiots. Pure, flat idiots, & then tried to make themselves look good or innocent. I still play on Harb too. PvP servers were already dead before the cheap transfers mate. lol

Ninja'ing objectives while someone else is fighting the guard mobs happens on any server. It tends to end up with me standing and watching the ninja, and not helping him with the next mob/objective group. I just wish I had a /fallaboutlaughing emote. Curiously, on the same server, back when Kylath was a young commando of level 32, she was fighting some bridge guards on Alderaan, and some *flagged* level 29 Sithy Imperial came along and started doing what I read as interfering with my fight, so I switched targets and burned him down. On reflection, I might be doing him an injustice - he might indeed have been trying to help. But if you want to do that, don't be flagged. (Afterwards, just in case he had friends in the area who could help him crush the ungrateful Republic wretch who killed him, I mounted up and made tracks out of there. Usefully, I was travelling anyway, and would have done just that anyway.)
Hebruixe Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 I was on Harbinger for years...it seems to be the most glitchy server of all. I moved to Ebon Hawk and things are a lot better. Come to our busy RP server!
