ahduth Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Hi! I just moved, and my launcher/install doesn't like the new internet address apparently? I wanted to try the fix where you delete the Bitraider config files, but I wasn't sure which ones to delete. Would any more computer-savvy folks be willing to lead me to them? Thanks!
Vyerix Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 It will end up downloading entire game but Bit Raider will be gone. Second post http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=674711&highlight=bit+raider
knowmyname Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) Yes - NOTE this is a complete download again right mouse click on game shortcut and select open file location open the launcher.settings file in notepad and locate the below line and edit to the below , "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"BR\" }" Change to: , "PatchingMode": "{ \"swtor\": \"SSN\" }" , "bitraider_disable": false Change to: , "bitraider_disable": true SAVE the changes. Delete the BitRaider, Movie and Asset folders then start the launcher. or if you have the old version still on another computer , copy all the game folders over to this computer edit - going BR to SSN is a complete re-download, going SSN to BR isn't meaning - going from Bitraider to Regular is a full game download of the assets and movies going from regular to Bitraider is not a full game download. OwenBrooks Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Just in case anyone else is looking for the Bitraider repair , it is listed here If Bitraider is at 100% complete and no play button or is at 0% one of the first things to check is windows services Ensure the Bitraider Mini-Support Service Stub Loader is started

I'm getting a new error code C5 claiming to be unable to locate the assets. It's not in my recycle bin because it was "too large" and had to be deleted permanently from the start There is no Bitraider folder to delete. Following the rest of these instructions the game simply closes after clicking Play or I get the C5 error.
The_Wulff Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 I'm sorry for the situation you are in. I have no idea why he told you to do that. The assets automatically get replaced and as you discovered are needed to launch. If you have a system restore point from the last time windows ran any update you can try going back to that to undo the damage or you will need to re-download and then try the change again without deleting the assets folder. Use Owen's instructions that Vyerix put in this thread. Good luck
Sydth Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 (edited) Thanks The_Wulff I reinstalled the game and was able to log in without a hitch. So, yay. This is the first time since official launch that I've had any problems nor have I ever reinstalled the game. I didn't know that all my personalized settings would be erased and reset.... YEARS of personalized tweaking of UI, keybinding, graphics and audio settings... gone.... Edited December 16, 2015 by Sydth
