Callaron Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 I love those instant teleports. These days I use them more to travel around the galaxy than I actually use my ship. Why pay for fuel when you can travel for free, and at much greater speed! The best thing about it? I get to skip those horrid orbital stations, and those lousy spaceports with their stupid "You can't do that here" rule about not traveling to SH or even quick traveling out of those blasted places.
Jerqa Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 I have to admit that I like this feature too. In most cases I hate the quick travel in the games that I play, but this is pretty nice to have.
XiamaraSimi Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Huh, never even thought of that, time to store a mission for planets i travel to often...
papragu Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 yep, this is one awesome feature, also love how you can FT to certain contacts. Now i just wish they would make our speeders faster.
Jeweledleah Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Huh, never even thought of that, time to store a mission for planets i travel to often... bear in mind - they go on one hour cooldown, but... you could always grab more then one mission per planet just in case oh and... if you have a story quest that tells you to take the ship? you still need to take the ship :/ but otherwise - they are pretty awesome, especially during BBA events etc. makes those kingpin bounties faster
XiamaraSimi Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 bear in mind - they go on one hour cooldown, but... you could always grab more then one mission per planet just in case Yeah, theres always one heroic i dont care to do on a planet so ill just grab them and untrack them, i can just go into the missions items tab to use the TP if needed. (Looking at you Blood and Sand!)
Callaron Posted November 7, 2015 Author Posted November 7, 2015 Huh, never even thought of that, time to store a mission for planets i travel to often... It's especially useful for those where you don't have a SH to port to.
Fleurdelis Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Makes the missions much easier to complete. Love the quick travel to them.
Neglience Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Yes, this immersion that comes from the ability to instant teleport around the galaxy, it is awesome.
dark_wolf Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Yes, this immersion that comes from the ability to instant teleport around the galaxy, it is awesome. Then simply don't use it? But if you want maximum immersion then I suggest you spend several hours real time in your ship while you travel because even the Millennium Falcon took a bit of time to get from Tatooine to Alderaan.
Callaron Posted November 8, 2015 Author Posted November 8, 2015 Yes, this immersion that comes from the ability to instant teleport around the galaxy, it is awesome. I've had three years of the same old "immersion" day in day out. So I don't mind skipping it.
Dorcraft Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Yes, this immersion that comes from the ability to instant teleport around the galaxy, it is awesome. I played a single player game once called B-17, The Flying Fortress. It let you be a crew member on a B-17, filling any of the roles from pilot, bombardier or waist gunner. It was exceptionally realistic. The guns would miss and jam. You had to start the engines in proper order, let them warm up, and unbank the props or you would crash on takeoff. You also could take 90 min to an hour to fly to your target. Everything was real time. The game failed. NOBODY wants to sit around and travel for an excessive time. Travel time is wasted time. I welcome any mechanic that prevents me from running or driving long distances for no reason.
Allamirr Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I love, love love it! Just need a Heroic2 on Quesh, the only planet that doesnt have a travel option, well unless you count Ziost, the forgotten planet. Ziost should be on the travel terminal, since it has a weekly and dailys.
Gorrdan Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Yes, this immersion that comes from the ability to instant teleport around the galaxy, it is awesome. Simply pretend that you are travelling real time and leave your pc on for weeks or months and then come back to finish one quest. You can thank me later for saving your immersion.
