As the title says. I do not understand why people dislike it as much as they do.

It lets you do class stories if you held that of to do other things and still get relevant experience.

It lets you go back and play with friends and, if you didn't do all the quests/missions... you can get some stuff yourself while playing with them.

I for instance skip a lot of planetary story missions but, now I can go back and do them and still level doing it if I so prefer or if I somehow manage to fall behind the levels of the quests I am on a bit easier . ( Mostly for old characters that haven't started fresh and thus gotten into the right questing pace but.. still.)

And if you prefer a zone or want to finish a story/questline in a planet you'd otherwise outlevel and gain next to nothing from you'll now gain from it still.

I have some minor issues about kotfe here and there but, most of the features and changes I adore.. including level sync.

Am I alone in thinking it's good?

Can't say I even notice it. Heroics are still soloable, old planets are still facerolled. My only problem with it is that it's time and money wasted on something barely present. Only WB's got something out of it

Yes I am enjoying it -

I'd guess a ballpark of 50/50 based on comments. So many people on either side spam the **** out of their opinions so hard to tell though.

I'd prefer we don't have it, mainly because I liked having more control over when and how I level up. No level sync fits better with my personal play style, YMMV.

Now I'm going to spam that so we have 60% not in favor vs the rest of you. :rak_04:

Some of it's good, some of it's bad. I predicted I would be annoyed by aggro range and having to wade through trash more often once level sync hit. I was right. I predicted I would no longer be able to go back to old flashpoints and heroic missions for spesific gear shells. Also correct, though actually due to said rewards being removed entirely rather than level sync, so fair enough. And I thought leveling would now be a breeze since stuff doesn't turn grey, which is good. Which also turned out to be right.

Do I like level sync? No. Do I dislike it? A bit, but I figure the its utility outweighs the annoyance. Overall it's an okay thing.

Not at all. I really like the level sync and have been wanting something like this for years now. I guess I was kind of spoiled though having played EverQuest II for over 10 years using their mentoring system.

I prefer it this way. My characters feel powerful on lower level planets, but they don't act like they found a god-mode cheat somewhere. I never liked the way you could challenge a supposedly bad-*** character like Malgus or Revan and then just go afk in the middle of the fight, safe in the knowledge that your character would be perfectly fine when you got back. That's not getting more powerful, that's just the game being silly.

This exactly. Leveling is so quick and easy that xp from old content is immaterial. Fighting on lower level planets is still so easy I don't notice the down-leveling. I don't see any more people putting together groups than before. So, all told, a lot of dev. time spent for pretty much no reason. Hopefully they really do put in more content later to justify the resources spent.

Nope, it's awesome. It makes all zones feel relevant, I can help people without feeling like I'm basically cheating, it preserves immersion but you still feel like your higher level character is more powerful than the one you're currently levelling.

Yes, yes you are, so go away so we can continue to wallow in our self-pity and misery. We don't need your super cheery happy smiling face making us feel bad, we make ourselves feel bad enough. /crai

I'm going to my room! You're not my real dad!

Erm, um, well, okay maybe it's not so bad. But don't tell anyone else, they'll kick me out of the emo group if they think I might like it. Pinky-swear?

level sync is fine, it not being optional is what is terrible

As I type this there is a horde of people sputtering at their screens and mashing out lengthy lectures for you with their fat greazy hands.

Lvl sync is vastly superior format , for immersion reasons , content reasons , and a myriad of other reasons that have been debated to death on this forum .

Lvl sync is a huge success +1

The ONE thing that lvl sync really ruins Is bosses, for example I just completed the Sith Warrior story for my 4th time (yes 4th) and when figthing Darth Baras In the end he was EXTREMELY easy to defeat. Instances should be synced to the missions lvl (for example youre on Balmorra as a lvl 35 beacuse you have a mission there) you should be synced to lvl 20 when outside and roaming around, however once you enter an Instance that Is during a mission thats lvl 35, It should sync you to 35.

You are not alone.

I loath levelsync, personally, but I won't make the silly claim that some people on all sides of the issue have made that their side is a "clear majority" and/or that the other side is a "loud, whiny minority". The numbers and volume are roughly divided across the entire spectrum of responses to the change.

I'm sure this thread will be visited by the same back-and-forth accusations by some on all sides that the other is "just a minority or the same handful or people repeating themselves..
