kamemi Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 I have a Lenovo y50-70 with the following specs: Intel Core i7-4710HQ, 2.50 GHz (up to 3.50 GHz) GTX 860m, 2GB 8GB RAM With max Settings (but low shadows), i barely get 60 fps on the fleet (with V-sync and triple buffering activated) until my CPU goes from 3.50 GHz down to 2.50 GHz for no reason at all (the max temperature the pc reaches is 60°C). In Warzones, FP or Ops my fps go down to 15-30. Is there a way to stop my CPU from going down to 2.50 GHz? And how can i improve my FPS in general? Thanks in advice. p.s i'm using SWTOR: Unleashed
OwenBrooks Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) have a play with process lasso see if it helps, it also incorporates this Edited November 5, 2015 by OwenBrooks

kamemi Posted November 5, 2015 Author Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) have a play with process lasso see if it helps, it also incorporates this I downloaded them but the CPU turbo boost kept deactivating anyway, and when that happens, FPS drop a lot. And i have no idea how to use those programs anyway. I don't understand, temperature isn't even that high, why does the CPU turbo boost have to deactivate? Might help Lenovo y510p Settings in game and nvidia graphics settings The specs of that laptop are nearly the same, but the Nvidia options are a little different since the video cards are different. kamemi Posted November 8, 2015 Author Posted November 8, 2015 UP. Can anyone tell me how to avoid the CPU turbo boost from being turned off at low temperatures?

DPswfan Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Oops, didn't read your whole post. Still, that's not too bad considering how poorly optimized this game is.
kamemi Posted November 9, 2015 Author Posted November 9, 2015 Good read here It works! Thanks! And if you have any other advice on how to improve my performance in general, let me know ^^
TX_Angel Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I have an Acer notebook with the exact same hardware and it is smooth in everything. You either have a hardware problem (heat/dust/something broken), or you have a configuration/software problem. The sad thing is, the number of things it could be is nearly endless....
