Seryth_Tavrayn Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Now that companions no longer require any gear, green and blue item drops seem to no longer matter. I believe the drop of gifts or alliance supply crates make more sense from here on out then gear that is not needed nor needs to be sold on the market. Secondly are there plans to allow the purchase of alliance supply crates with credits? I have more credits than I could ever need and I have nothing to spend them on. I don’t have a need to buy gear for my companions and by this time you’re basically handed amazing gear so your character personally doesn’t need to buy anything. Perhaps setting crates to sell for 25k or 50k each, I’m not sure what the best price setting would be. I just get the feeling that we have a massive influx of credits with nothing to spend them on. Thanks.
VanorDM Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Now that companions no longer require any gear, green and blue item drops seem to no longer matter. Sure they do. You can use them for the appearance system for your character or change how your companions look. Since gear doesn't matter anymore you don't even need good gear. So while including other things on the loot tables may be good, they shouldn't remove anything.

If you like the idea of keeping the gear that gets dropped then there isn't a need for random trash items that get picked up while looting. All the gear that you're not going to equipment on a companion gets sold to a NPC vendor for credits any who. Why have random items that take up most of your inventory spots when we're using gear loot as steady source of credit income. Including the fact that we're bombarded with gear each time we turn in a alliance create. Have you also noticed that you can't equip anything other than weapons on the "Main" companions in the expansion. So if you want to roll with Lana Beniko all day you can't change her appearance. I'm not sure about most of the player base but as I roam around planets I see more "Main" companions that can't be modified than I do of Lieutenant Pierce, Talos Drellik, or the others. I think most players would like to see rewards for helping influence and their 4 alliance hangars then more random gear that doesn't go on your companions you're mainly using.

Thanks. the NPC on Odessen that sells companion gift for common data crystals just before the cantina just so happen to sell crates (for 50 common each.). Most welcome. As for your credits, you can send them my way Edited November 5, 2015 by Lntdwarfik Stupid Addenum
Seryth_Tavrayn Posted November 6, 2015 Author Posted November 6, 2015 Lntdwarfik, I'm not saying the problem is getting Alliance supply creates. I'm only suggesting that the loot being dropped have a direct use with the content being released. Or provide a way to transfer credits into purchasing Alliance supply creates, though that is a topic for another time. As a player who doesn't have a lot of time available I'm not always able to grind Heroic's. Though when I do play and loot green and blue item drops plus "random trash" I have a huge influx of credits that could be used to help achieve the leveling of your Alliance base which is what the developers want the players to do. However since that mechanism currently isn't in the game changing what drops for loot could help with the goal of upgrading the Alliance base. As for the credits I was told by my Tax guy that the process of sending you any Credits would raise interest from the Zakuul Empire and would most likely result in a audit when filing for taxes and the end of the year. Thank you
