Zaknaffien Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 I (and a bunch of my friends) would LOVE to see you implement a sort of universal chat system where the game recogonizes user names (like WoW's BattleNet) so you can chat with anyone you know whether they are playing Pubs or Imps.

I'd rather not have a universal chat system but I think being able to talk to Imps or Pubs depending on your faction on shared planets would be acceptable. Edited November 4, 2015 by Anaesha

I don't see why we can't chat cross-faction. I mean, we're all players here, regardless of what faction we decide to play. I support a universal chat system.
XiamaraSimi Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 (edited) At least we dont see opposite faction chat as Gibberish like you do in WoW. I still remember SWG and Wookiees speaking Shiriiwook, if you didnt learn the language from one all you would see in chat when one talked was: "AROOOGA raaaagh Rawwwwwwaaagggghhha!" Funniest thing I ever saw in that game was a noob wandering along, and a wookiee friend ran up to him yelling in Shiriiwook, i think that guy ran halfway accross Tatooine trying to get away from him... I support a universal chat system. Mainly because if I'm on Korriban I don't want to talk to people on Tython it kinda kills the immersion. However, one planets like Quesh, Tatooine, Alderaan etc. etc. this would work since both factions are on the same planet.

So, what if it just excluded the starter worlds? Would that work?

Empire: Korriban, Hutta, Dromund Kass, Balmorra, and Taris Republic: Tython, Ord Mantell, Curoscant, Taris, and Balmorra Basically any planets that the factions can't be on at the same time.
Sheppered Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Which is why they need to make an optional chat channel for universal chat
SerraShar Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I rather they make a universal friend List. So not matter what toon you are on , you dont lose your friends because they switched toon and didnt tell you . Kinda like in Star Trek where you could switch from fed to Klingon or romu and yet you could still chat because the friend List is spammed on all the toon you make automaticly .
Cyber-Blade Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 In my opinion. all planets that go cross-faction should have a universal chat The fact that you cant chat with pub players only decreases hospitality, and increases the hate that each faction has to the other (Seems immature, but you would be surprised.) - I also support the idea of a universal fleet. or fleet cantina, where you can go to RP, or talk to other players regardless of faction.
