BombuKlaat Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Hello friends, I will cut to the chase immediatly: Class: Jedi Guarding [Tank] Gear: full 208 ranked pvp gear + replaced all the mods and enhancements to 40X for dedicated Tank(ness) Now I stumble on the next problem. Augment the 208 pvp gear with 208 augments. I have bougt augments with ALL Power + shield / absorb / defense stats This way I started trying to figure out how to build up my stats. Now my confusion started already in Shadow of Revan that whenever you put an augment in your pvp gear, no matter what augment, even an augment that has NO endurance...you still loose endurance when your gear is bolstered in the warzone (about 450 hp per augment you put in). Same with these POWER augments... My power stats are actually going down (like damage pri) with every augment I put in, including healing bonus :S ... I tryed a lot of different statistical build up of the gear, like: 40% absorb - 40% shield and 27% defense or: 35% absorb - 35% shield and 30% defense trying to find a equilibrium in the numbers....but I all I seem to experience is a weaker and weaker tank with every augment that is added to my pvp 208 gear. I just had operative who slapped off 1/3 of my health in 2 hits! I mean... I am a dedicated tank...build for protection and to live long in combat. My damage sucks...but that is the role of the tank...I am utterly flabbergasted that these things happen. I sometimes feel like a Piñata. Note: augments with power bring your power done ---- augments with endurance bring your endurance down ---- and ---- any augment seems to take away endurance no matter what. Where my power gone? Where my resilience gone....? Gosh....Where my country gone?
Banderal Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 When you don't have ANY augment in your gear for a slot, then bolster gives you the equivalent of a blue fortitude aug. I don't know for sure what level, but check for some posts by icy to find a link to his/her bolster guide. I'd try to find it and link it here for you, but I'm typing on my phone. What that means for your endurance is that if you actually put in an augment that has a lower endurance boost than the blue fort Aug that bolster gives you, then yes, you will actually see your endurance go down. Since everyone seems to say, for now, that endurance is king for tanks in pvp I just stick with Max level purple fortitude Augs for my jugg tank. hope that helps!
Lundorff Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) I haven't tried to augment at level 65 yet, but I am seen the same at level 60-64. My level 63 mara is currently running with the lowest possible mods I could find, and I my endurance and mastery is much better than with augments and higher level mods. NikSunrider Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Not directly tied to your augment situation, but Operatives are primarily a Tech Attack class, at least concealment are, and thatis the goto spec for operatives. Defence does not effect tech/force damage, shield absorption only triggers if you win the shield chance roll, and shield chance is negated by autocrits and high crit on part of the other player. With crit and autocrits being ridiculously messed up with the new update, I can see very well how a backblast/backstab or a Vital Shot + Bloodboiler/Imp version of bleed + Volatile Substance could knock a lot of health off. Generally speaking, for tanks in regular warzones, it is better to run high-endurance DPS gear with endurance augmetns. FOr ranked, I am not sure if the formula has been established. Shield/Absorb have gotten harder to get... And the other posters are correct in so far as the stats going down are concerned, as a result of the final augment lowering the overall stat. Also - I thought ranked gear was 204?
