VanCali Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Coming soon to a Cartel Market near you, Premium Server Access to a server that does not crash! Only 5,400 CM coins! For an additional 1,600, your character's information will be backed up and will not need to be rolled back. You know, when you have a huge expansion that is advertised for for months prior to your release, you might want to make sure you have the server space so that your servers do not melt. It kind of turns people off from playing when they re-sub. They go, "now I remember why I left".
Headshot-Hector Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 "now I remember why I left". QFT a million times
Pldizzle Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 "now I remember why I left". Just resubbed a few days ago after years of being gone.
VanCali Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 I heard it repeated from a few others. I resubbed a few months ago to get my toons from 55-60 after being gone since last fall or so. Constantly lagging and now crashing servers does not instill confidence into subscribers.
Redius Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Yep, same here. Literally just resubbed on Saturday and was looking forward to trying out the new content. Guess its time to go to bed early.
Kolskeggur Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Interesting. Personally I resubbed in... eh... June or July probably, started on Shadowlands. These past two days is the first instability I've noticed at all (some general lagspikes today, and the Star Fortress lag spikes), and I've been around enough to have gone through all class stories and whatnot. Lag haven't really been any issue and then I'm in Europe even.

Constantly lagging and now crashing servers does not instill confidence into subscribers. Don't forget the bugs, imbalanced team matcher, mismatched VO, population imbalance, badly executed content releases (yanking all our interactive and class-unique companions for a bunch of shallow characters that everyone has access to, can't speak with, and can't customize)..... Don't get me wrong. SWTOR has been headed in the right direction. Very, very, very slowly. Very slowly. So slowly that by the time it gets there, it'll probably be too dead and have a reputation too bad for it to survive. You need to get your act together now, EA.
VanCali Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 (yanking all our interactive and class-unique companions for a bunch of shallow characters that everyone has access to, can't speak with, and can't customize)..... EXACTLY. I liked my characters. I had hoped that their stories would continue past 50. Then the Hutt expansion hit and not a peep out of them. Then Revan hit, and not a peep out of them. Now KotFE hit, and they are all gone. You have 2 companions that you met in Revan, and one new one new one. The other new companions and old ones you don't interact with. You give them text responses. This is not why I began playing this game 4 years ago. I wanted Dragon Age set in Star Wars which is what it is. Now it is slowly being dumbed down.
Shaede Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Now I remember why I left. Well, not really. The game is a lot better than it was on release (last time I played). The disappointment then was intense. Now, after more than 3 years, it looks like it's heading in the right direction. Wanted to check it out. Doesn't look like that's going to happen for a little while longer.
